Good story, but needs a bit more

The cliff hanger final chapter leaves me feeling like the story didn't complete, or maybe it's part 1 of 2, without the expectation up front and a hard to find hero journey conclusion. Great job filling in background, culture, and history of Vietnamese and teenage experience of finding "who you really are."

Great reading of an inspirational classic

Finally got to listen to the Divine Comedy!

This version is translated enough to understand clearly, and kept some original words in place for emphasis. All three books in one place allows you to follow Dante through Hell, Purgatory, and Paradise.

For me, the old names I didn't know we're lost on me and brought confusion. The depictions described reminded me of a painting of the levels of Hell. Dan Brown's "INFERNO" novel did a great job of pulling from Dante and Florence, and helped me catch some references.

This was well read, paced, and translated... but may have lost some relevance and impact due to narrative of the times gone by.

Slowly read, but 1.6x speed was just right.

The build-up of the story is minimal, but will have you questioning what characters are fighting to be human, and what humans have no fight in them.

All is not what it seems, like the fifth element

This is a good listen, but has some unusual names for supplemental characters and races that may make it difficult to keep straight.

This book has remedies of religion, ironic to unbelievable situations, and stays true to sci-fi. I found myself saying, save the Cheerleader, save the world, and wanting to know more about the characters as the story progressed. Then, the tale gave me the necessary back story to reach another epiphany moment. in the end all of the loose ends are resolved and the winners and losers are declared. This presentation came in for a win in my books!

Crazy, outrageous, juvenile, quick...I loved it

NOT a serious book!

A quick book about the day of an interdimensional insurance man an his intern. The multi-verse of probabilities and possibilities make for some very creative characters and sales commercials. The book had a straight forward plot, but was very entertaining with its minor curveballs.

If you read "Off to be a wizard" or "Hitchhiker's guide" and enjoyed them, you'll be in good company with this shorter intergalactic tale.

The MATRIX, jr

The story was engaging, entertaining, and had excusable loopholes. Not many surprises were hiding that weren't already alluded to or following similar tales. The pros for this tale are the characters' relationships with each other, explaining just enough to keep those naive to computers engaged and informed, and laughing at itself.

I enjoyed the story, but feel there could've been more. The narration using multiple voices also helped keep the story from getting too confusing when multiple characters were together. I'll be listening to the next one... if there is one.

entertaining read for old school gamers/movies

Great narration and simple story. Famous quotes and music make the story familiar, but the story gives references to other books and movies that make the plot seem too inevitable. Fun read overall
