Ughhhhh… the narrator
Revisado: 10-26-23
The story appears to be ok but the narrator was killing the story for me. Seemed like a fake, forced, sing song accent for each sentence! Ughhhh, just couldn’t take it. I will read the book instead.

Historia
After Tova Sullivan’s husband died, she began working the night shift at the Sowell Bay Aquarium, mopping floors and tidying up. Keeping busy has always helped her cope, which she’s been doing since her eighteen-year-old son, Erik, mysteriously vanished on a boat in Puget Sound over thirty years ago. Tova becomes acquainted with curmudgeonly Marcellus, a giant Pacific octopus living at the aquarium. Marcellus knows more than anyone can imagine but wouldn’t dream of lifting one of his eight arms for his human captors—until he forms a remarkable friendship with Tova.

Historia
Lina Meisel, a retired librarian in Florida, is reading the newspaper one morning when she freezes. Her eyes lock on a photograph of a book she hasn’t seen in 65 years - a book she recognizes as The Book of Lost Names. The accompanying article discusses the looting of libraries by the Nazis across Europe during World War II - an experience Lina remembers well - and the search to reunite people with the texts stolen from them so long ago. The book in the photograph is one of the most fascinating cases.

Historia
Make sure the kids aren’t around! Just because you’re a grown-up doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the art of the children’s bedtime story. Nick Offerman presents this collection of 12 short stories written in the style of a classic kids' tale, but with a decidedly dark and adult approach. What really happened after Snow White died, from the perspective of the one medically trained dwarf? A naive wizard professor reports back from the trenches of an underprivileged school of magic. And much more!

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this audible, because I didn’t really know too much about Alan Arkin other than actor/producer. But listening to his story I was greatly moved totally engrossed in just how profound his words and meaning were. I called my daughter in law immediately and said she HAD to read/listen to this book! Thanks again Audible for this amazing presentation!!

VERY slow starter, but the end was good
Revisado: 04-12-19
VERY slow starter, but the end was good! Character detail was awesome! I did feel the interspersed music was unnecessary and distracting, and for me, didn’t fit with the situations. Honestly, I almost returned the book a few times but I too was drawn to Julian. I’m glad I finished it but I did cringe each time the pop in music started. Overall, the book was good.
