Historia
When fifteen-year-old Eragon finds a polished blue stone in the forest, he thinks it is the lucky discovery of a poor farm boy. But when the stone brings a dragon hatchling, Eragon soon realizes he has stumbled upon a legacy nearly as old as the Empire itself. Overnight his simple life is shattered, and, gifted with only an ancient sword, a loyal dragon, and sage advice from an old storyteller, Eragon is soon swept into a dangerous tapestry of magic, glory, and power. Now his choices could save—or destroy—the Empire.

Been a long time, but the return was great!
Revisado: 06-09-21
A lot of complaints on the reader. He did a great job! complaints of the Saphira voice are silly. A guteral fire breathing creature would sound more like the reader than the voice from the movie. But alas who am I to say, since I'm not a rider myself 😔.

I recomend to all adults, young and old!
Revisado: 05-27-21
This was a rollercoaster of emotion, but actually helped me look deeper into myself. At first I didnt want to continue, but forced myself through. early on I wanted to quit, and several times in between, but so content I was when I finished. This title may not be for everyone, but I recomend this to all adults, young and old.

Historia
Shocking and controversial when it was first published in 1939, Steinbeck's Pulitzer prize-winning epic The Grapes of Wrath remains his undisputed masterpiece. Set against the background of Dust Bowl Oklahoma and Californian migrant life, it tells of Tom Joad and his family, who, like thousands of others, are forced to travel west in search of the promised land. Their story is one of false hopes, thwarted desires, and broken dreams, yet out of their suffering Steinbeck created a drama that is intensely human, yet majestic in its scale and moral vision.

Great story! A look into the past, just shows the cyclical world we live in. as the good book says, "nothing new under the sun". Nope, just dressed differently.

Fun and Engaging
Revisado: 09-03-20
I'm a bit of a happy ending person(so take this with a grain of salt). I believe in Forgiveness and second chances. the ending all but ruined the book, but it's hard to forget all the good times I had reading through it. wont read again, but will always remember the enjoyment I had throughout. that's why I gave 4 stars and not five. I contemplated 2 stars but that would have been wrong. It does give perspective on the civil war. In my opinion(plotline aside) the south had to be humbled, to achieve true repentance, and forgiveness. it is evident today in the beautiful south land of the usa.

Historia
Landover was a genuine magic kingdom, with fairy folk and wizardry, just as the advertisement promised. But after he purchased it, Ben Holiday learned that there were a few details the ad had failed to mention.
The kingdom was in ruin. The Barons refused to recognize the king, and the peasants were without hope.

I have read the Shannarah series up to fall of Shannarah book 1 and the word and void. I have enjoyed all the books but Terry's dark side in the later writings has not been my favorite reading. Not to take away from his works which are all superb, but I wanted to read something exciting funny and smart. This book had all that and more! This Book was rejuvenating for my spirits and can't wait to continue the rest of the series. Don't miss out and start reading now!

greatness again
Revisado: 10-13-17
The story was again an awesome adventure, without giving to much away, that's all I'm willing to say. The reader is good, but I did not like how he changed voices from book two then to book three. example Kermedec was a perfect voice in tanequil. Then in Straken, same reader, voice completely different. Sounding like a little annoying troll, rather than massive wise troll. Small complaint anyway, still a good performance.
