Erin Dawson had the perfect life growing up in a perfect home with a perfect family. But after learning that the man she’s called “dad” her whole life isn’t her biological father, Erin is determined to find the man who is. Erin finds her father, but begins questioning if her mom had been right all along to keep this information buried. It turns out he is the president of a motorcycle club. Despite getting what she wants and finding her biological father, it’s the slightly older, much rougher but incredibly sexy biker Ace who catches Erin’s eye.

Another bad narration...
Revisado: 07-10-20
The storyline was overall pretty good. However,I say this only because it's book 1. It helped to introduce important characters and I look forward to their stories.
The Narrator is horrible. Her female voices can be ok, but her male voices...NO!

Historia
Abby has been through hell and has survived one of the most brutal childhoods imaginable. To the outside world, she is just a loner with an attitude. When her grandmother dies in a tragic explosion, Abby is left with questions - and nothing else. Homeless, sleeping in a junkyard, and on the run from a system that has failed her over and over again, she meets Jake, a tattooed, blue-eyed biker with secrets that rival her own. Two broken souls that can't be healed. They can't be saved.

Abby and Jake - LOVE THEM!
Revisado: 07-02-20
I truly enjoyed this storyline and the narration. Yes it was a little dark, but I loved it. I loved the interactions between Jake and Abby. I loved that Abby was a "Not Gonna Take Crap From Nobody" kinda chic. Although she was very young, she had lived a lifetime due to her childhood horrors.
The narrators were very good and I enjoyed the voicing. I was very pleased.

Vet the Narrators folks.
Revisado: 06-26-20
I don't want to be so critical, but I truly had a hard time listening to this book. The ENTIRE reason we buy books from Audible is because we have to listen to them - I am visually impaired. The voices in this book caused me great issue.
Much like others stated - there were these awkward pauses. Even more annoying than the pauses was the breathy voice for Tyrel - he sounded illiterate. I would have suggested a male to play the voices of the men - even if they didn't want to hire 3, get at least one to do all the voices.
The story itself was okay. I could relate to the characters to some degree but that Yvette is an idiot. She is supposed to have sense but she whines alot. I just wanted to jump through the audio and chop her in her throat for some of the things she said and did.
I will probably read one more book by the author because like I said, I could relate to the characters, but I will do my best to avoid these narrators at all cost.

Very good story

I truly could relate to Jane and her emotional struggles. The voice of the narrator was not believable for an African American but I got past it.

Historia
It starts as a whisper, barely audible. Rumors. Paranoia. Conspiracy theories. Subterfuge. Like lightning, the plague moves across the globe, leaving few alive. But the end is only the beginning. Primarily set in Memphis, four loosely-connected strangers, caught up in their lives, find their worlds annihilated by the swiftly-moving plague. Alex Connelly is a wealthy young executive. Kirk Foster is a self-absorbed aging gay man. Meredith Brinkley's ongoing war with breast cancer takes a turn for the worse. Logan King is a closeted baseball jock.

My first LGBT read...
Revisado: 07-10-19
This was a very good book. I'm 100% invested in the story now. The first 30 chapters was basically background, but it was necessary for the overall story to be told well. It allowed you to become invested in the characters. When the outliers were introduced, I didn't understand where it was going, but once again, they are integral to the continuation of the story.
Many reviews t all about the sexual content. I don't normally read gay fiction but again the story is tastefully written and the characters are beloved.
Throughout the first four books included in this one selection, I found myself easily visualize scenarios especially the creepers. I also believe the storyline itself. So much of this story can come true.
Great writing, loved the narration and completely fell in love with the characters.
