Historia
The sun is bloated, diseased, dying perhaps. Beneath its baneful light, Shadrapar, last of all cities, harbours fewer than 100,000 human souls. Built on the ruins of countless civilisations, Shadrapar is a museum, a midden, an asylum, a prison on a world that is ever more alien to humanity. Bearing witness to the desperate struggle for existence between life old and new is Stefan Advani: rebel, outlaw, prisoner, survivor.

Listening for 3rd time in a row
Revisado: 12-04-23
I almost never listen or reread a book back to back, but this one I did. I tried a couple other books after, but find I'm still wanting more of this one and since that's not to be, I'm listening for the 3rd time in a row now.

Shame there's so many audio issues
Revisado: 07-24-23
I can't believe for an author as iconic as Heinlein they couldn't get a decent production together. The story is great, but the audio shifting in and out of sounding muffled is very obnoxious.

Great overall
Revisado: 01-14-21
overall these books have been great. If you read The Dreaming Dark series, I would say to be ready to be unhappy with what Baker did with one of the iconic characters from it with very little storyline of how they got to that point. Again though, this was a minor drawback to a great read and will only affect those invested in characters from earlier stories that you do not need to read first.

Baker is awesome

Baker's creation, Eberron, has quickly become my favorite world for both gaming and stories. Did not at all see the end of this one coming.

Best D&D book and narrator for audiobook yet.
Revisado: 12-05-20
Gives a new perspective on goblinoids, rather than just making them monsters. Was very happy to see they keep the same narrator for the whole trilogy as he's the best I've heard. So many voices.

Great story, great voice actor.
Revisado: 12-05-20
It's so easy to think of goblinoids as violent primitives and little more. This story gives them real life and complexity building a proud history for the goblins of Eberron. And unlike some other series, they used a great voice actor to narrate and kept him for all the books.
