Historia
Charlie Reade looks like a regular high school kid, great at baseball and football, a decent student. But he carries a heavy load. His mom was killed in a horrific accident when he was seven, and grief drove his dad to drink. Charlie learned how to take care of himself—and his dad. When Charlie is seventeen, he meets a dog named Radar and her aging master, Howard Bowditch, a recluse in a big house at the top of a big hill, with a locked shed in the backyard. Sometimes strange sounds emerge from that shed.

Great; as always.
Revisado: 12-03-22
I have always loved Stephen King’s work. This is just another example of how he can capture the readers imagination and take them for a ride on his magic carpet of literature. Stephen never disappoints.

Historia
Alicia Berenson’s life is seemingly perfect. A famous painter married to an in-demand fashion photographer, she lives in a grand house with big windows overlooking a park in one of London’s most desirable areas. One evening, her husband, Gabriel, returns home late from a fashion shoot, and Alicia shoots him five times in the face and then never speaks another word. Alicia’s refusal to talk, or give any kind of explanation, turns a domestic tragedy into something far grander, a mystery that captures the public imagination and casts Alicia into notoriety.

Best book I have read in a long time!
Revisado: 02-29-20
I highly recommend this book to anyone. It is able to capture you and make you want to keep reading. It also manages to do this without the use of vulgarity, uncomfortable scenes of intimate moments, or gruesomeness. This author is talented. Even the best readers will not be able to predict the outcome of this fabulous book. The book will leave you wanting to look up other works by this author, it is that good.

Did you know that most of our dinosaur fossils were discovered because two grown men absolutely hated each other? It’s true! Rivals! Frenemies Who Changed the World is a riotous audio exclusive, like if Monty Python taught your history class. Each volume of four 30-minute histories will dig into the petty name-calling and grumbling grudges that led to many of the world’s greatest advancements, all delivered with a cheeky sense of humor. Choose sides: Cope or Marsh, the jerks who discovered so many dinosaurs; Hamilton or Burr, whose rivalry fueled American politics; and many more....

Does nature really make us feel better? The 3-Day Effect takes a look at the science behind why being in the wild can make us happier, healthier, and more creative. Whether it’s rafting down Utah’s Green River, hiking in Utah’s wilderness, or walking through Rock Creek Park in Washington, DC, scientists are finding that the more exposure humans have to nature, the more we can benefit from reduced anxiety, enhanced creativity, and overall well-being.

Not sure what the point was.
Revisado: 07-22-19
I was hoping, as I do with many books, to gain some sort of insight or knowledge from it; especially a book with this title. There were a few doses of science and the author tried hard to describe her experiences along with those of a few others. I am glad it worked out for anyone involved, but personally gained little from the content.

Twenty-year-old Ryiah is a black mage of combat, but she is not the Black Mage. Yet. New person reading than former book in series.
Revisado: 12-31-18
The person reading this book is difficult to listen to. I was quite used to the voice I had heard for the main character Ria in previous books in the series. I have already purchased the rest of the series and hope they either go back to the original narrator or change up again. The series is not great, but better than mediocre. This narrator lessens my opinion of the series overall and definitely lowers it to mediocre at best.
