Historia
It’s 1984, and life has changed beyond recognition. Airstrip One, formerly known as Great Britain, is a place where Big Brother is always watching, and nobody can hide. Except, perhaps, for Winston Smith. Whilst working at the Ministry of Truth, rewriting history, he secretly dreams of freedom. And in a world where love and sex are forbidden, where it’s hard to distinguish between friend and foe, he meets Julia and O’Brien and vows to rebel.

It is my understanding that the author had experimented with LSD; as well as myself and others including the great, late JL, Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds! It’s a wonderful therapeutic product. I’ve read many books on the wandering of Don Juan! You should too. It’s been many years since I’ve been there.. during the late 70s and early 80s the late great one put out his own books rather, we refer to them as sheets filled with little blue dots… they were the best!!! Thank you Fred of Chicago now in Gray’s Lake.

Historia
Thumbing across the scorched West Texas desert, loner Jack Reacher has nowhere to go and all the time in the world to get there. Cruising the same stretch of two-lane blacktop is pretty Carmen Greer. But for Reacher, the lift comes with a hitch. Carmen's got a story to tell, and it's a wild one. All about her husband, her family secrets, and a hometown that's pure Gothic. She's also got a plan. Jack Reacher's part of it. And before the sun sets, this ride could cost them both their lives.

He calls himself The King. Once a respected professor, he was ruined by scandal. Now, he rules his own “country” — an area of western territory where an army of outlaws enforce his laws. Any town he claims as his own must pay “taxes,” collected from bank, stagecoach, and train robberies. When he learns that President Rutherford B. Hayes and General William Tecumseh Sherman are venturing into the far west on a tour of the nation, The King devises a plan to kidnap America’s leaders and expand his empire.

Historia
A wagon train winding through the remote reaches of the Rocky Mountain high country can attract plenty of scavengers - some of them human - like Vic Bedell and his gang of cutthroats. All he wants is the women, who can be traded for gold mine supplies...or used for whatever else he has in mind. But he didn't count on Preacher leading that train.

Historia
It starts off simply enough. (Doesn't it always?) Jack has been on hiatus since the tragic events in Harbingers. With his beloved Gia's encouragement he dips his toe back into the fix-it pool.Christy Pickering's 18-year-old daughter is dating Jerry Bethlehem, a man twice her age. Christy sensed something shady and sinister about him, so she hired a private investigator to look into his past. But the PI isn't returning her calls. Will Jack find out why?

Historia
The year is 1910. Nate Cooper is an old-school cowboy. He sees the change brought by the turn of the century and reckons none of it to be good. Even after spending nearly 30 years in a Montana prison for a wrongful murder conviction, Nate’s moral compass is true and unwavering: He does all the wrong things for all the right reasons. So when he returns to his northern Montana ranching town to find the Blackfoot Indians - the people he went to prison trying to defend - are still being cheated out of their territory by ranchers, Nate can’t rest on his laurels.

Storyline falls down…
Revisado: 12-22-22
…when it’s picked up it’s wavering. Never really gets back on track. It needed to be about 90 minutes longer with some hair raising Indian battles as they fight the government for being short changed. Whitey had to pay for the lying and cheating Scoundrels that they are! Has anything really changed in the government? It’s just gotten worse.

On March 8, 2014, Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 disappeared. A year later, still no trace of the plane - or the 239 people onboard - has been found. But why? In The Plane That Wasn't There, science journalist and CNN aviation analyst Jeff Wise sweeps aside the conspiracy theories and misconceptions and lays out, with clear concision, just what we know about the plane's fate - and what we don't.

My First Baldacci Read
Revisado: 11-12-22
When I read bad reviews, the kind with one or two stars; but wait there’s more: I am shocked to discover this is a five star book! And yes, this was. I’ve been an avid reader since I was in the sixth grade and that was quite a while back because now I’m 73 years old.
I will admit that it was difficult for the first couple of chapters, but I never let that slow me down. This is a good word to the wise; don’t let bad reviews put you on the wrong track, especially when reading a first time different author. I hope you enjoy this as I have!

Buried in the depths of the Pacific Ocean, off the coast of Japan, lies one of the greatest drowned secrets of World Wart Two - a crashed B-29 bomber that was carrying a third atomic bomb to Japan in 1945. Its deadly cargo, lost in the sea for nearly 50 years, is at the heart of this classic Dirk Pitt thriller, in which a small group of Japanese nationalist fanatics, dreaming of a new Nipponese Empire, set out to neutralise and blackmail the USA - with nuclear weapons planted strategically in the country's major cities....
