Historia
Despite the overwhelming amount of resources for time management and work-life balance, the ability to cultivate the efficiency and equilibrium needed to manage all our worthy pursuits can often feel frustratingly out of reach. The reason for our struggle is that productivity and time-management systems focus on individual habits rather than more meaningful and lasting lifestyle changes. But as it turns out, there is a better way to reach our full potential.

So much more than another time management book
Revisado: 09-18-24
Like many working professionals, I struggle to keep up with the many demands on my time. This book gives a great framework for managing and tracking those things that are most important and must get done through the lens of “ why” we do it.
This book provided me more insights and personal benefits than anything I’ve read in recent years, Except for the Bible itself.
My only critique is that, some of the approaches seem impractical in the corporate world. I don’t always get to dictate what is on my calendar, nor can I block several hours a day for deep work. Part of my deep work is those meetings that keep me from doing the deep work for which I am personally responsible. That being said I have begun to employ many of the principles outlined in this book. I will likely go back through it again or pick up the hardcopy to thumb through

Historia
Before he was the Gray Man, Court Gentry was Sierra Six, the junior member of a CIA action team. In their first mission, they took out a terrorist leader, at a terrible price. Years have passed. The Gray Man is on a simple mission when he sees a ghost: the long-dead terrorist, but he's remarkably energetic for a dead man. A decade of time hasn't changed the Gray Man. He isn't one to leave a job unfinished or a blood debt unpaid.

At first, I had a hard time getting into the new first person version of court gentry. As the book went on, I settled in, and I really enjoyed it. The story, albeit dark, was really just a great listen. Intense, with lots of twists along the way. Well done!

Obviously one must suspend belief, but a great story. I wish the women in the performance sounded a bit less like an effeminate man, but a good reading nonetheless.

Historia
This warm and down-to-earth audiobook invites you to sit in on one of the most miraculous moments of human history, when one man took a few fish and a couple of loaves of bread and fed an entire village. Meet the Jesus who dares you to ask him to give you each day your daily bread, who makes promises and keeps them, and who does immeasurably more than you can ask or imagine on a regular basis.

Admittedly I wondered how one could create a 4 hour book on the topic of the Feeding of 5000 (and 4000). I was pleasantly impressed and enjoyed the challenge to apply the principles the author explored to my own life. The author’s wit and sense of humor helped, all the more, to keep me engaged. Definitely a book worth listening to.
