Boyfriend repeatedly cheats on her yet her father still promotes him to Junior Partner. Chooses the boyfriend over his own daughter.

Father treats her like a child.

Ash hates that she won't stand up for herself but he basically treats her the same way her father treats her.

BDSM is not what a doormat of a woman needs. Their relationship is toxic.

Came on her face in anger. Sadie pushes Ash of her chest, tells him to get off of her with tears in her eyes. He pins her back down and questions her.

Sadie decides to end their agreement but Ash refuses, says she needs a spanking first then she can go.

Sadie doesn't want a ball gag in her mouth, tells Ash but he doesn't care. Basically tells her too bad.

Questions if the reason she basically bows down to Ash's every command is because the it's how her father has spoken to her for years... WTF?!?!

Ash wants to "Destroy her just to put her back together again"

Sadie is never given the option for a Safe Word or movement.

5 Star Story and Performance with 3 Star Audio Formatting

My new favorite book, wonderful story, wonderful characters, wonderful performance but horrible formatting for an audiobook.

The book and the story are 5 stars. It's perfect and there's only one thing really that bothers me about it and it's not the book itself it's partially the performance. Actually no it's not the performance it's the format of the audiobook itself.

I love romance books, however I cannot get past when there's only one narrator. A few months ago I came across the first audiobook that I've experienced where there was both a man and a woman narrating. For regular non romance books I don't care who narrates, but if it's a romance novel I need for a man not to raise his voice to the point where he sounds a effeminate.

I want to emphatically say, I have nothing against the LGBTQ+ Community this is not that at all.

The author wrote the book in such a way that in portions she tells you whose point of view your reading, whether it's Mia's or Max's. Which is great when you're reading the book and it's fine when you're listening to the audiobook and it switches points of view and one of the other narrators comes in and says their name so you know who's point of view you're listening to.

However and this is the biggest reason why I'm not giving the book a total of 5 Stars. If Sarah Hampton-Brown is reading for Mia, but during Mia's point of view Max says something, Shane East who reads for Max, his voice does not come in. No instead it's Sarah Hampton Brown dropping her voice to sound like a man.
Which isn't too horribly bad Sarah is able to drop her voice enough. But when Shane East is Reading in Max's point of view and then all of a sudden Mia starts talking it is so jarring. You go from a deep manly voice to a ridiculous high-pitched voice of a man speaking for a woman. It interrupts the story, and it's really hard to get past.

Because then as Shane is reading for Mia the only thing I can think of is This is god-awful. And it's not Zara and Shane's fault. It's the way the book is formatted, because Zara reading for Mia is awesome, Shane reading for Max is awesome. I don't understand why Zara and Shane were not told to read for their parts only, why have two narrators if they're going to end up reading for each others characters anyways? This isn't going to stop me from reading Susie Tate's other books in digital format, but it is going to stop me from buying the audiobook just because it's so disappointing.

The book was okay, I seen the movie before reading. it kind of dragged on a bit, I didn't care for Karen Ross's character, she was stiff and boring. I did like Elliott's character loved Amy, Munro was great. but there was a lot of downtime in the book not a whole lot of action. The movie took a lot of liberties, which there were some issues with I didn't like Tim Curry's character I thought he was needed and he was not even in the book. I do believe this book deserves to have an awesome movie made. It's been 30 years and I think somebody could make a really good movie out of this book, help the book shine.

I read the synopsis, I absolutely knew the subject going in to this book. I thought I was prepared to listen to it, I in fact was not. This book is as heartbreaking as it is so incredibly enraging. annoying as of September 2023, these family still have no answers just enrages me further. anyone who gets this book you need to go into it with the understanding that there is going to be Non-Stop investigative reporting on child predators. Predators that have gotten off scot-free, and in some instances never spent a night in jail even though there's evidence. This book requires you to go in with your heart shielded, you will get incredibly sad and you'll probably cry a lot and you're going to get so very very angry. bother does not beat around the bush in the slightest on the subject. just go into it expecting the worst.

I don't have many words, but I loved listening to this book. I've never read any of Stephen King's books but I love movies based on his books. I've seen Under the Dome TV show and holy hell had happened a very severe disservice on TV. I'll still enjoy the show for what it is the TV show what the book is so much better and so much more intense and I have such a deep gutteral hatred for both Rennies. I don't think I've ever hated characters more than I did Big Jim and Junior. and I'm kind of irritated with the ending how it was, I'm not going to spoil it. I'm mostly irritated with Big Jims ending, I wish I had went differently. I'm trying so hard to be vague! 😂

Anyways this will not be my last Stephen King audiobook!

There is nothing other to say than, it was wonderful! Also I don't know if Jim Dale narrates all of the NO books, but he really brings the Wizarding World alive!

Throughout this story, chills ran through my body! As much carnage you hear before the temporary cease-fire, the celebration during the Christmas Truce of 1914 gives me hope. Hope that we will someday be able to live in peace. Accept others and their differences, but have the fortitude to have tolerance. Wonderful story!

While Shane's humor is brash, raunchy and crude, and not for everyone, his stories are also incredibly relatable for fat, weird and invisible people. Thanks Shane, for being open and showing us underlings that we are not alone in the world 🙂

The Lady's Tutor is one of my all-time favorites, so I was excited to see this on Audible . There is only a single reason why I gave it 4 Stars. When I read a romance novel I hear a mans voice in my mind when a man speaks in the book. This book only had one narrator; a woman, Lulu Russell who do a fabulous job for the women characters. Yes she threw her voice, dropped octaves but still. You knew a woman was narrating. I wish that authors would request for both Men and Women narrate their books. That is my only issue with this.
