What a gift

While this book is a haunting reminder that I’m only one of many that has experienced spiritual abuse and/or radical dysfunction in a church setting, this book is a gift. It’s hard for some to depict just how traumatic these experiences are for people. This book does it well. It outlines a path for a wayward structure to rebuild and come back to Christs ultimate intention for the church. Well done.

Thank you, Beth, for sharing your story with transparency and deep humility. The light that you’ve shined on the sometimes dark corners of the behind the scenes lives of people who give us hope every day is truly revelatory. We truly could never know the cost and the price for some to get up and do what they do. This hopeful entanglement of dysfunction, calling, trauma, and salvation is worth the read!
