Good messages, tiring to listen to

I actually really liked and resonated with a lot of the author's content. I just did not enjoy how the book reads like a meditation journal after a transformational retreat weekend. If you don't mind listening to hours of meandering pontificating, you might enjoy. I found it draining to follow. The narrator is pleasant and not too monotone. I just got tired of the book and decided I don't even want to finish the last 3+ hours.

Great content, unfortunate narrator

Oh my word, it took me months to get through this book due to the narration. So robotic, with terribly off inflection makes it so difficult to follow what is otherwise such a great work of research. I got through it out of respect to the author, but longed the whole time for a more enjoyable and engaging listening experience.

I loved this so much I listened to it in 4 days. I've already been doing a lot of work on codependency and self-love and was not in the middle of heartbreak when I listened to this, and it was the most enjoyable nail in the coffin on my longtime patterns. The narration was perfect and hilarious at times, and the content is brutally accurate and smartly stated. I will listen again and highly recommend if you fit this profile.

I loved everything about this set of lessons - the narration, the content, the pace. I was able to progress through all 56 lessons by doing two lessons per day (about an hour) while doing yard or house work with wireless headphones. The woman's voice is muffled at times and hard to distinguish words that were new to me, but I could usually make it out after hearing the male speaker repeat it. This is the farthest I have progressed with beginner Spanish and I was excited to move forward, but am terribly disappointed that I can't find a sequel to this series. The link to contact the publisher on their site is also broken. I tried the intermediate level of "Learn Spanish Like Crazy", which lists the same narrators, but it doesn't sound like the same people at all and they don't break down the phrases and teach the same way. So now I'm searching for where to go next that will allow me to continue learning at a good pace with a similar methodology.

Disappointed

I was so excited to complete Fast Lane Beginner Spanish, which has over 50 lessons. The methodology and pace work so well. But I couldn't figure out what follows it since it didn't come from this series. The link to contact the publisher on their website is also broken, so I decided to try this volume. I loved Fast Lane, and this one listed the same narrators. I was so disappointed that it's not the same people at all and it doesn't break down the phrases hardly at all. I tried the whole first lesson and didn't feel like I could learn anything this way. Returning and going to seek other authors' level 2 courses. Bummed.
