Celtic mythology is intricate, complex, and the ideals behind their mythological beliefs were often intertwined with real-life events. This audiobook will examine how both myth and fact contributed to the culture and traditions of the Celts and how these influences and stories continue to live on throughout the centuries.

quite inaccurate and narrated poorly
Revisado: 12-18-18
I don't know when this book was published, but the basic historical points on celtic "conquests" are quite inaccurate. also the narrator made no attempt at correct pronunciation of Gaelic word references, even mispronouncing English words which it turn makes the narration hard to follow.

I'm truly impressed
Revisado: 11-07-18
I expected a story set 300 years after the original trilogy to read with extremely similar plot lines and therefore lack a great deal of substance. However, Brandon Sanderson shows his great skill as a writer and storyteller well. The book is similar enough to keep the feel of the original trilogy yet unique enough in storyline to keep the reader entranced.

Historia
Neil Gaiman has long been inspired by ancient mythology in creating the fantastical realms of his fiction. Now he turns his attention back to the source, presenting a bravura rendition of the great northern tales. In Norse Mythology, Gaiman fashions primeval stories into a novelistic arc that begins with the genesis of the legendary nine worlds; delves into the exploits of the deities, dwarves, and giants; and culminates in Ragnarok, the twilight of the gods and the rebirth of a new time and people.

Historia
Are you looking for a different spiritual way to live? Do you feel drawn to an ancient way of life, such as paganism? If yes, look no further. This book will help you learn about paganism and witchcraft. Paganism basically refers to a wide variety of traditions and rituals that emphasize reverence for nature and the natural order in life. For pagans, spiritual growth is related to the cycles of the earth and they pay a lot of attention to ecological preservation. Pagans don't believe in monotheism, i.e. in the doctrine that there is only one God. They believe in polytheism, meaning they believe in multiple deities with different religions and rituals. They believe that all objects, places, and creatures possess a distinct spiritual essence and need to be revered, a concept called animism. Some of the modern forms of paganism have roots in 19th century European nationalism. Most of these groups, however, trace their roots to the 1960s.

basically a vague repeat of other basics books on paganism. the narration is well done. but the information reads like it was written by a non pagan trying to capitalize on the movement.

Historia
For a thousand years the ash fell and no flowers bloomed. For a thousand years the Skaa slaved in misery and lived in fear. For a thousand years the Lord Ruler, the "Sliver of Infinity," reigned with absolute power and ultimate terror, divinely invincible. Then, when hope was so long lost that not even its memory remained, a terribly scarred, heart-broken half-Skaa rediscovered it in the depths of the Lord Ruler's most hellish prison.

over all good series
Revisado: 09-17-16
it is over all a good book. there are some errors both in the narrator and the story that get noticed in later books. mostly with the word elend being mispronounced once in awhile on the narrator's errors. later books say the lord ruler said "do not did" but in this rendition he says "did".
