Sorry... Really? Thrust? Anyway, Danny Kendrick was a down-on-his luck performer who always struggled to find his place. He certainly never wanted to be a hero. He just hoped to earn a living doing what he loved. That all changes when he pisses off the wrong guy and gets sucked into a fantasy realm straight out of a Renaissance Fair. Getting used to a new world is tough. It's even tougher when you're surrounded by axe-wielding barbarians, super hot elf assassins, strange magic, and a jaded System that doesn't appear interested in being charged with yet another companion.

The Narration carries this mediocre litrpg further than it deserves.
Revisado: 02-03-25
I got this because it was recommended by Matt Dinnaman. I expected something similar to his wit but the first 6 hours consisted of a pathetic human being complaining about his life and making consistently stupid decisions. I actually feel sorry for the protagonist because a lot of his actions are clearly forced for the sake of a joke that never lands. Soundbooth theatre just fabreezed a turd as far as I’m concerned.

Think Mother of Learning but so much worse.
Revisado: 12-27-24
There’s a reason why this series only gets recommended after you’ve read Mother of Learning and Perfect Run and that’s because you are the point where you are scraping the bottom of the barrel.
For a protagonist with the ability to relive his life he sure spends a great deal of his life wasting time and opportunities.
That’s definitely the Authors fault though. It’s like Cale looked at the time loop litrpg premise of this series and thought, “This is a pretty neat premise and I can definitely see some cool situations to put my MC in, but what if I decided to never write those parts and instead decided to tell my readers/listeners to go f**k themselves instead.”
I feel bad for Neil Hellegers it’s not often the man is singularly responsible for Weekend at Bernie’s-ing an audiobook.

"No killing Goblins." So reads the sign outside of The Wandering Inn, a small building run by a young woman named Erin Solstice. She serves pasta with sausage, blue fruit juice, and dead acid flies on request. And she comes from another world. Ours. It's a bad day when Erin finds herself transported to a fantastical world and nearly gets eaten by a Dragon. She doesn't belong in a place where monster attacks are a fact of life, and where Humans are one species among many. But she must adapt to her new life. Or die.

Why is my overall rating higher than the story?
Revisado: 11-20-24
It’s because this is an epic saga. The first book is rough and it doesn’t translate well and the author is currently writing a new version of it. But I must beg that you continue with the story. The Wandering Inn is a true Epic. As someone who is fully caught up on the story including Patreon updates directly from the author I can tell you the Erin doesn’t stay a pathetic innkeeper capable only of begging for help and being annoying. She becomes a certified badass with abilities and allies the world over will come to respect. She is the Crazy Human of Liscor.
So burn your free monthly credit on this audiobook and if it’s too slow for you then read the entire series for free at the authors website for free at your own pace.
Just don’t give up because you will laugh and cry and rage and smile. It’s just that good.

This series has potential but needs some serious editing
Revisado: 09-29-24
I really like the scientific methodology in this fantasy world but the constant repetition of HOWEVER and THEREFORE’s alongside the cyclical thinking the MC spouts is incredibly annoying. Get a damn thesaurus and use other words ffs.

Another poor litrpg with pointless and repetitive stats
Revisado: 06-23-24
Drop this series. You want to try a healer MC, you want an lgbt MC, you want stats. Well you get all three but the MC is a poorly written “bisexual”. Lesbian smut makes random appearances at times when you least expect it. The stats get read off at random times usually when you rather just listen to the story and the “healing” is just a touch and go experience. Lots of focus is put on the MC just going around and looking pretty and being the target of sexism for humors sake.
It’s like an AI wrote a litrpg.

And yet, beyond them lurks an even greater danger. What could've possibly driven the Formorian Queens and Royal Guards out of their lairs, into human territory? Will Elaine and the Sentinels have to pay a terrible price to save humanity? Or will civilization be smashed, and humans scattered to the winds? And what, exactly, are the Dragoneye Moons?

Revisado: 06-23-24
Glad we’re done so far with the tacked on lesbian smut. Back to stupid stats. The author could’ve made a simple tier system or something in the single digits and it would have the same meaning as the random 10 minute long stat blocks we get so the author can pad for time.
The only reason I’m this far into this series is because I just finished TWI and I’m waiting for rune seeker.

All the world's a stage...even when you're teleported to a new world. To her astonishment, her song casts a spell of light into the world...and from the depths, something hears her. Challenged by a ghostly knight, a tragic necromancer, and hordes of undead, can a young woman who does not believe in heroes become one herself?

This a review for the entire series
Revisado: 03-03-24
I’ve read the entire series but only have the audiobooks up until the last entry.
This is a decent starter point if you are getting into litrpgs. This series does a few things that are considered pretty rare in the genre. It combines cultivation with stats and brings modern military knowledge to a fantasy world. Because of the authors own real experience with the military a lot of the details go deep and aren’t hand waved like so many other litrpgs.
There are two MC’s but the story tends to focus more on Eric, the Healer/Alchemist/Martial artist. His chapters are far more detailed than Rugrat’s and thusly more enjoyable.
The major negatives I find in the series are here:
1. This applies to roughly 90% of other litrpgs so consider this a fault in the genre itself, the stats go into the quadruple digits and mean very little after the first book. The long status parts of the series become tiresome and pointless after a while.
2. The pro military rhetoric becomes absurd propaganda that starts halfway through the first book and NEVER STOPS. It gets ridiculous. Ooh Rah!
3. The MC’s create a utopian meritocratic society where everyone does their best and nobody is disadvantaged by it. It’s so fantastical it actually breaks your willing suspension of disbelief.
4. The last book in the series is an absolute travesty of publishing. Incredibly unsatisfying, rushed, and really really short. Each book is at least 16-20+ hours long. The last book is 6 hours long.

It’s just Azarinth Healer all over again
Revisado: 02-20-24
I’m three books in and I don’t think I can continue with this series. It’s become boring. There’s no real drive for the MC’s other than leveling up and that is boring. Salvos’ neurodivergence is fun sometimes but feels like the joke is beating a dead horse. Daniel’s insistence on hiding irrelevant information about himself is a stale trope. The side stories were where this series started to breath life back into itself but they are few and far between. Honestly you could remove levels entirely from this story and end up with a better work of fiction.

Shirt, you need to write about something else.
Revisado: 12-02-23
This book was terrible. 80% of its content was recap and Jason waxing poetic about how much of a sad boy he is.
Shirtaloon, you are treating your readers like morons. Stop it. Jason’s personal growth was cool for like 1.5 books. You need to write about something else. Something other than recap. You have an awesome narrator and you’re wasting his talents. Open yourself up to side character chapters. But for the love of god, jason needs to shut up. I tired of listening to this crap over and over again.
