Some girls are fearful, others are brave. One girl’s a princess, the next one a slave. But all girls are equal when they’re down in this cave, until just one is left standing—The Prettiest Girl in the Grave.

Not my favorite Triana book, but still worth the listen
Revisado: 07-23-23
There were a few places in the book where the narrator would repeat sentences, but it was only a handful of times so it didn’t bother me much, just enough to note. Overall the performance was good, her voice fit the teenagers well, but not so much the adults or males. Totally understandable because not everyone can hit every voice characteristic, but it did pull me out of the story a bit.
The story itself was the third Triana book i’ve listened to, it wasn’t my favorite, which was Full Brutal, but it wasn’t the worst. The plot was interesting as a concept, but i felt like I knew where it was going to end about half way through. The descriptions of gore and death that he wrote were gorgeous though, which I’ve come to learn he does well. He really does love the word macabre, as I’m pretty sure it was said at least five times. Just kinda made me laugh a little. I did love the add in of emo and goth culture, that was a fun nod to something that is important to me, as well as other people who are into horror i’d imagine.
Overall, if you want to listen to a creepy story about goths in a terrifying, ever shifting labyrinth under a cemetery, give it a go!
