This work should have been required reading for those who were involved in the coalition of nations that failed in our most recent attempt at shaping that tortured land. So many mistakes were repeated by our own well meaning attempts to bring a new age to Afghanistan.

Misleading title, but a good course

Interesting, but one dimensional

This is a very concise breakdown of the second world war from an American perspective. Very little time is spent on any of the other allied nations that made up the complexities of this global conflict. I do believe that this is valuable work, but the scope is quite limited to one nation’s perspective. Definitely worth a listen while bearing this in mind.

This is outstanding material. Good source material for any aspiring military leader. It takes an unflinching look at the nuanced environment in war, and some of the decisions required of the men who fight.
The reader, while enthusiastic, at times mispronounces words, and betrays a minor lack of understanding of some military terminology. Outstanding reading overall though.

Reader is the weak link here

To be fair, I have only been listening for 20 minutes or so, and my impressions may change. The information thus far is engaging and thorough. The reader does not seem to respect sentence structure, or pronunciation of words, and seems generally bored with the material. The lack of reader engagement makes this publication hard to follow.
