Historia
A recurrent, unidentifiable noise in her apartment. A memo to her boss that's replaced by obscene insults. Amanda - a successful architect in a happy marriage - finds her life going off kilter by degrees. She starts smoking again, and one night for no reason, without even the knowledge that she's doing it, she burns her husband with a cigarette. At night she dreams of a beautiful woman with pointed teeth on the shore of a blood-red sea.

I thought the story was well written and the ending was surprisingly creepy. I highly suggest if you like a quick listen that will leave you a bit unsettled.

Historia
Life is hard enough for a teenage girl in 1950s suburbia without having a mother who may—or may not—be a witch. A single mother at that. Sure, she fits in with her starched dresses, string of pearls, and floral aprons. Then there are the hushed and mystical consultations with neighborhood women in distress. The unsavory, mysterious plants in the flower beds. The divined warning to steer clear of a boyfriend whose fate is certainly doomed.

Historia
How did a libertine who lacks even the most basic knowledge of the Christian faith win 81 percent of the white evangelical vote in 2016? And why have white evangelicals become a presidential reprobate's staunchest supporters? Jesus and John Wayne is a sweeping account of the last 75 years of white evangelicalism, showing how American evangelicals have worked for decades to replace the Jesus of the Gospels with an idol of rugged masculinity and Christian nationalism.

repetitive stopped at chapter 65
Revisado: 02-14-20
The story was scary but got really repeitive. kept retelling scenes from different characters points of view. I get that it's necessary sometimes so you understand the character but.......sigh.....I just got tired of hearing about the same event 3 different times every time. I liked the narrator, he is good. I might try and finish later..... honestly I had a hard time listening to the last few chapters that I did. Stinks because I was REALLY pulled in until about chapter 45.....Lost Interest.

I really enjoy Sarah's writing style. The way she builds characters and the world they live in make it easy to imagine, which is why her books kinda make my skin crawl....in a good way. This isn't one of my particular favorites but I definitely enjoyed it🙌 Keep up the great work.....I'm still excited to read the next book to this series.
