Revisado: 11-26-22
This is the perfect book for when you're in the mood for a cheesy feel good holiday love story!
Max and Sadie are contestants of the hit reality show Starmaker. After getting paired in the duet week and the viewers go crazy for their on stage chemistry! This makes them start a fake dating relationship to help their chance at winning the show! They soon see their true selves and realize there might be a reason for their immediate chemistry.
I needed this book for this time of year! I love picking up easy holiday reads in November and December that help me get through my busy schedule and in the mood for festive everything! Grab a cup of hot chocolate or hot tea, light a festive candel and treat yourself with All I Want for Christmas!

A sweet slowburn with lovable characters
Revisado: 11-22-22
Just the book I needed to get me out of my reading slump! This book was a sweet slowburn with lovable main characters, meddling sisters, and tropes that make it such a fun read.
Brandan Delamar, Duke of Westbury, was told his whole childhood how wicked he was by his father. Now grown, West had no other choice but to live up to that wicked title and gambled away his fortune. Now he is in need of an heiress, but with never feeling loved his while life, he doesn't believe it exists.
Viola Beaton is the duke's sisters' music instructor. She's a sunny personality who not only has accepted the roll of a wallflower, but also has a secret hidden in her love for music. While she might not be an heiress, she can't help being drawn to the dastardly Duke....
I loved this slow burn romance so much. The characters were so well developed, including the side ones, that I could not put this book down. West is my favorite kind of hero, the grumpy kind with a troubled past but still cares for those around him. And Viola was also such a sweet sole who keeps the peace and eventually learns to do things for herself. They made such a sweet couple and I'm glad I picked this up when I did!!

incredible addition to the series!
Revisado: 10-02-22
Yes I'm redundant, I love Lorraine Heath's writing and this book was another reason why I'm obsessed with this series.
Frannie grew up orphaned with three overprotective boys who will do anything to keep her safe. We saw frannie in the first two books and knew she had a traumatic past. Sterling it's the brother to the heroine of the first book. They have an immediate attraction to each other but their class difference prevents them from being with eachother.
This was by far the sweetest book of the series. The twists were still there but the support they provided for each other in dealing with trauma and life caring for orphaned children was heart warming. This was a slow burn and I loved how their relatioship developed. I also liked how lis story ran alongside the last book in the series chronologically. I'm a lottle sad how fast in going through this series and how it's almost over but I can't put them down!

If you're new to Lorraine Heath, start here!
Revisado: 09-24-22
Wow this book hit hard. I need a separate rating scale for LH books because they are literally so good. She writes characters, that are so complex, in a way where you empathize with them and feel so moved during all the twists they experience, and even their morally gray decisions!
While this series is not light hearted, I feel like it's an incredible place to start if you want to pick up a Lorraine Heath book. It's full of morally gray characters who have devastating backstories, plot twists, and spice! Literally all you could ever want in a historical... I would also say you should read this series in order.

scared hero, friends to lovers, and full of angst!
Revisado: 09-23-22
I am a suckered for childhood friends to lovers and LH did not disappoint!
In typical Lorraine Heath fashion this book was full of angst, murder threats, incredible chemistry and, to top it all off, a scared hero! I read this series out of order but if this is the first one you're picking up it makes the experience even better. The last book in the series is my favorite book I read this year so I highly recommend giving this series a read!

got me our of my reading slump!
Revisado: 09-19-22
What an adorably sweet romance, perfect for getting me out if my reading slump.
This book is about two coworkers who have enough tension between each other that they effectively convince the world they are exes on the radio. With their forced proximity and the fake "ex dating" these two quickly realize they should have been dating from the start.
I loved how light hearted and easy this read was. There was not unnecessary drama between them. They were two adults who realize they like each other while pretending like they liked each other in the past. I loved the fact that the heroine was older than the hero and the representation of an interracial couple. I highly recommend this read when you're struggling getting into a book and want a fun and quick read!
