BEST book ever

I wanted to join the Navy after high school in 1973. I remember someone telling me people would spit at me. I didn't serve in a war zone and thankfully no one spit on me. it was the best decision of my life to serve. This book brought back so many wonderful memories. It was written with a true heart and parts of it broke my heart. I cried at the end for all the heartache F felt. Thank you for such a wonderful story. Here's to all the brave Veterans who fought to make America safe.

I followed this story after Jodi was arrested. I remember the man who made the 911 call to say he had your brother. The man was crying at the shape your brother was in.
Your story is incredible. I cannot imagine your childhood and the craziness you endured. You are wise beyond your years. I will keep you in my prayers, Shari. Thank you for sharing your story and sad family life.
Kevin is another story... he seemed to be the sane person. But obviously he was brainwashed by Ruby.
I listened to a podcast from a young man who went to Ruby for marriage counseling. He felt Ruby was a true man-hater and she destroyed his marriage by turning his wife from him. Another wicked soul.
I normally do not like the author to read their own book. You did an amazing job... so much better for you to tell your story than someone else.

Loved the history but it sure made me sad.

I became aware of Tryus through Gutfeld. Every night when the show comes on, Tryus is who I hope is on.

I love the things he says on the show. He delivers his points with heartfelt honesty and without apology.

This book was heartbreaking, funny, enlightening, and empowering. everytime Tyrus gets knocked down, he comes back even better. I wish he could mentor more young people to pass those traits on.

Thank you for sharing your life. Can't wait for the next one.

Absolutely Amazing

I loved every minute. What a tragic childhood that ended with so much success and love. I could feel all the pain from growing up in such poverty. How the mother endured such abuse is beyond my comprehension and I am amazed the family stayed together. Thank you for sharing your story. You truly deserve all life's blessings.

I started listening and thought I wasn't in the mood. I kept listening and could not stop. I loved this book so much. Marcus was so humble. I was stationed in Coronado I the early 70s and I remember seeing the guys training on the beach. It is amazing Marcus survived and I cannot imagine how he deals with losing his teammates. Thank you for your service and bravery.
