Well written and delivered in the excellent style of Audible narrators, the book keeps the listener on the edge of their seat. Could American business fund attacks on our soil?

Roller coaster ride

Step into the pages for a provocative roller coaster ride...the ride of 12 characters intertwined that keeps you guessing until the last line of self dialogue is uttered. Listen carefully to every word because none are wasted. Every individual piece of this story reveals a part of the mysterious puzzle. At times, I caught myself holding my breath. I had to remind myself to take a few cleansing breaths before resuming listening. This author is a master story teller who combines psychological and sociological influences in her character development. She masterfully shares insights gradually in a suspenseful prose that keeps the listener rapt throughout the book. Five stars is not enough to share how phenomenally well written and portrayed this book is. Exceptional listen. I can't wait for her next novel.

Another Women's Murder Club novel

I love this series for quick reads/listens. I listened to this one today while gardening, doing household chores, running errands, and making bath/beauty & cleaning products from natural ingredients. It made the time fly. I am seriously addicted to Audible.

Peterson's compelling series continues

Excellent story of battle between good and evil - turmoil created within protagonist due to PTSD from his horrifying torture by the man he and his partner are hunting.....and different matures of the polar opposites in their basic natures. Love can conquer hatred with the help of Nate's girlfriend, FBI SAC he helped save from death in previous series novel. His business partner and other close friend/FBI agent also help bring him back from his vengeful "other" self to his natural "pro" who seeks to save the evil interrogator's victims and serve the nation's best interests.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Escape?

So many great moments. A tense time was when Knox and Puller were picking which wire to cut on the incendiary device, clipping the less likely one just in time to prevent bioweapon from being unleashed.

Which character – as performed by Ron McLarty and Orlagh Cassidy – was your favorite?

Knox - so many twists and turns of her character. One minute, she's the enemy and the next minutes, she's the heroine.

Any additional comments?

I can't wait until Puller and Knox meet again.
