Historia
If I return to Savannah, to Darling House - I’ll die there. Either the curse I accidentally unleashed on my family will catch up with me, or I'll flatline at the sight of the man I left behind - Ephraim Callaghan. But when my grandfather's cryptic will leads to an arranged marriage, Ephraim and I are trapped together in Darling House, my ancestral haunted mansion by the sea. As our passion rekindles, we must overcome the past and decode a dark family secret surrounding the glass, a century-old murder mystery, and the restless ghosts that remain.

Low country love!
Revisado: 06-21-24
Dreamy hero, gorgeous low country mansion, ghosts, curses, and a heroine whose shoes I wouldn't mind stepping into a time or two! The perfect gothic romance.
The story was engaging from the start and the ghost scenes were some of the creepiest I've listened to in a long time.
I love how the author wove the historical thread to help bring the origin of the curse and the glass elements to life. Very well done!
I can't wait for the next book in this authors Low Country Legacy series.

Historia
Graphic designer Sonya MacTavish is stunned to learn that her late father had a twin he never knew about—and that her newly discovered uncle, Collin Poole, has left her almost everything he owned, including a majestic Victorian house on the Maine coast, which the will stipulates she must live in for at least three years. Her engagement recently broken, she sets off to find out why the boys were separated at birth—and why it was all kept secret until a genealogy website brought it to light.

Are you kidding me?
Revisado: 06-20-24
I've been a Nora Roberts fan for 30 years. Admittedly, I don't read all her books, but as of now, I will never buy another one of her novels.
In this day and time of divisiveness, she couldn't just write a good novel, she had to get political. About 3/4 of the way in there is a completely unnecessary "getting to know you better" conversation where the hero slams Christians, making derogatory and bigoted characterizations.
I was shocked because this was not reflective of the hero's personality, and as I said above, was not important to the story. I can only imagine that it is the author herself that holds these views and, while she is entitled to her beliefs, I no longer care to support someone who holds my Christianity in such derision.
