Really enjoyed the complexity of how the story unfolded. The relationships and dynamics in each of the cultures and political spectrums among the variant countries takes the reader on a wonderfully winding journey with multiple perspectives. For the audiobook specifically, the narrator does a fantastic job painting a picture of eclectic characters with their own emotive styles and expressions.

Really enjoyed the second installment of this trilogy! In between the spicy scenes of alien erotica, the plot is incredibly engaging. Wait for the twist at the end! The narrator does a fantastic job differentiating between characters; great voice acting makes it easy to distinguish between the alien and human personas. Delightful mix of awww, wow, and ohhhh myyyyyy.

Really enjoyed the unfolding of this story from a cultural, political, and fictional standpoint. can't wait to check out the rest of the saga to see where the Perez family goes from here. The narration is a perfect blend of sweet and direct and really helped differentiate between the characters.

Feminism FTW - In the Early 1900s

This story of trial and tribulation is such an uplifting journey through tears and triumph. Moyes provides such a necessary perspective on the comforts of modern life and the freedoms we enjoy while still reminding us how far we need to go as a society. Whelan's performance really helped distinguish different characters. For the main antagonist, it was really easy to dislike everything from that person's mouth just based on the accent and intention behind their vindictiveness. Really enjoyed this story.

Betrayal, magic, and intrigue

This is my first Laura Sebastian novel and I am hooked! It starts off seemingly predictable, but the twists and double crosses keep you guessing up until the last page! Very PG-13 regarding violence and sexuality. No vulgarity, which may be important to some for a YA novel. Loved the performance of Roisin Rankin; mastering regional dialects and making each sister stand out with individual idiosyncrasies made this audiobook a real delight.

A call to action and self reflection

I really appreciated the straightforward, logical definitions and explanations in every chapter. This book gave me the context and terminology that I can use in my daily thoughts and actions. For me, I always thoroughly enjoy having the author narrate their book because it adds the authentic inflection and delivery intended when it was penned. I did not expect to also learn about gender, sexuality, and survival within the sphere of metastastic racism in our society.

loveable characters with complex twists

Fab 5, Meryl Streep, original music, hilarious characters (I think I counted at least 4 by Kate herself), and an enticing story arc brings this episodic epic together. Quick & dirty -- like Odin's lovemaking (you'll get the joke in later episodes). Enjoy!
