In this impressive anthology, Natalie Baszile brings together essays, poems, quotes, conversations, and first-person stories to examine Black people’s connection to the American land from Emancipation to today. We Are Each Other’s Harvest elevates the voices and stories of Black farmers and people of color, celebrating their perseverance and resilience, while spotlighting the challenges they continue to face. Excellent collection of stories and essays

Overall a wonderful listen. I really appreciated the commonality among the stories and the (somehow) different perspective on the importance of farmers and farming. Really good blend of education and entertainment.

Historia
Seldom does a book have the impact of Michelle Alexander’s The New Jim Crow. Since it was first published in 2010, it has been cited in judicial decisions and has been adopted in campus-wide and community-wide reads; it helped inspire the creation of the Marshall Project and the new $100 million Art for Justice Fund; it has been the winner of numerous prizes, including the prestigious NAACP Image Award; and it has spent nearly 250 weeks on the New York Times best seller list.

Fantastic Work
Revisado: 07-24-15
This was a wonderful work that was deep and thoughtful without being angry or resorting to any silly assumptions. I did not believe, or want to believe, the basic premise of this book but I was won over by a more than compelling case and I'm motivated to the point of action. I would highly recommend this to anyone on either side of the race coin.
