Historia
Marked by tragedy, traumatized at the age of eight, Michael, now eighteen, is no ordinary young man. Besides not uttering a single word in ten years, he discovers the one thing he can somehow do better than anyone else. Whether it’s a locked door without a key, a padlock with no combination, or even an eight-hundred pound safe … he can open them all. It’s an unforgivable talent. A talent that will make young Michael a hot commodity with the wrong people and, whether he likes it or not, push him ever close to a life of crime.

Books win the Edgar for a reason, and this book deserved it.

Totally original and engaging story. The narrator was great, really brought the characters, especially Mike, to life. Good mix of back flashes that brought the story together into a complete whole. Highly recommend.

Maybe the best Isabella Rose story yet.
Revisado: 05-28-18
I split between listening to and reading this book. The narration is excellent and it blends with my reading, I couldn't tell you now which parts I read and which parts I heard.
I really like all the Mark Dawson books, I think I've read all the Milton books and all the mother and daughter Rose books. This one moves along to a satisfactory ending. I really like how Dawson incorporates Michael Pope into the Isabella Rose stories.

Historia
John Rain is back. And “the most charismatic assassin since James Bond” ( San Francisco Chronicle) is up against his most formidable enemy yet: the nexus of political, military, media, and corporate factions known only as the Oligarchy. When legendary black ops veteran Colonel Scott “Hort” Horton tracks Rain down in Tokyo, Rain can’t resist the offer: a multi-million dollar payday for the “natural causes” demise of three ultra-high-profile targets who are dangerously close to launching a coup in America. But the opposition on this job is going to be too much for even Rain to pull it off alone.

They keep getting better and better.
Revisado: 04-07-16
I've read all the John Rain novels, as Das as I can tell they tell a long-term story so while one could read one on its own, I think they fit together better read in order.
The audible version is as good as the text. I alternated between reading and listening, completely seamless. I couldn't tell you which parts were which, it just flows either way.

Historia
There were two men in Rebecca Harris's life: Joshua Weinstein - the tough, dark, passionate, Jewish FBI agent she was engaged to; and John Menden - the blond, WASP, slick newsman who was her lover. Both men silently knew of the other's existence in Rebecca's life - and each hoped that when she made her ultimate decision between them, he would be the chosen one. Now they must become allies to solve her murder.

Historia
Bury your enemies, and bury them deep. John Milton thought he was done with Avi Bachman. The most dangerous man he's ever known has been incarcerated in Angola, the brutal Louisiana prison. Inmates rarely leave Angola. Once you go in, the only way out is in a box. But Bachman is no ordinary prisoner. He was an assassin for the Mossad, and he has favours to call in.

My current favorite series.
Revisado: 02-13-16
Love this series and the other books by Mark Dawson I've read. It's important to read the books in order (or listen, I alternate reading and listening). Milton reminds me a lot of Jack Reacher, except he has more going on in his head and the locales are more interesting.
