I need Book II !!!!

This story had me completely engaged on so many levels...the strength and determination of the protagonist. The compassion and love of the male roles.
The telling of her story and the emotions it invoked in me were provoking. As a black person, we can easily get caught into the feelings and emotions of what it is like being on the receiving end of racism...not being liked/tolerated because of who we are and maybe what we represent. But here, the idea of trying to sympathize with the main character, who, while not being the one scrutinized for the colour and texture of her skin, she perpetrated those same ideologies on an alien race because of fear, misunderstanding, and misinformation.
I had to stop the story a few times to think about what I would have done, if I would have behaved differently should I be placed in a similar situation. It was a humble read for me and Ieft me to examine my beliefs.
One thing remains and is the real test throughout this story...love prevails always!!!!

MY NEW FAVORITE AUTHOR!!

Revisado: 03-22-16
I have been looking for this book to read since the first time I was introduced to the Westmoreland's!!
HECK!!! I need me a Westmoreland!!!
As a first time Audible 'reader', I cannot think of a great book to start with...SEXY SEXY SEXY.
Descriptive characters, SEXY banter between the main characters, definitely stokes curiosity in wanting to meet the rest of the other family members...and the love scenes...ooooweee!!! Almost voyeuristic...until you remember, it's a damn book...not someone's journal!!!
A MUST HAVE IN YOUR COLLECTION!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT. ENJOY....
side note: Avery Glymph - Narrator
voice tone: perfect for listening
character tone: tends to lose the flow of the characters' voices at the beginning of the story...but gradually gets into the right cadence and tonality as you get deeper into the story.

Outspoken, defiant, and beautiful, Eddy tempts Rhine in ways that could cost him everything...and the price seems worth paying.

Revisado: 03-22-16
AN ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL STORY... of what it is to be loved, the sacrifice of love and what it would take to hold onto that love.
The strong bonds and relationships between the characters define what true friendships are about.
I applaud the Narrator's voice was perfectly suited to each character...even the dialect was an added bonus!!! Pure talent...a magical, winning combination between Ms. Beverly Jenkins and Ms Kim Staunton.
BRAVO!!! A FAN RIGHT HERE!!!
