Mr. Apollos, please just finish Underworld
Revisado: 08-29-24
Mr. Apollos Thorne, a gifted writer has endeavored to craft a series of books about eastern Asian cultivation. Rich in culture but seriously … why?
1. This series comes across as a Korean drama with so much fatiguing dialogue focused on the minutia of every action and how it makes every other character feel. It feels to the listener like a grind just to get through those sections. Have to skip because it will put you to sleep fast. However, the faithful relationship between the husband and wife is a great point that is endearing and appreciated. It doesn’t go unnoticed.
2. The make and female narrators are both talented but the female speaker, Ms. Kay, failed to remove her breath sounds during the audio editing.
The result is a very distracting listen as she deeply inhales between each sentence. It is to the point that once you notice her breath sounds, it becomes very distracting and you stop paying attention to the content of the story. 10 minutes of narration will pass and all you can focus on is her deep inhalation noises. Unfortunate and not in line with a professional production. The male narrator knocked it put of the park. Excellent work.
3. The most important point is a request. Mr. Apollos, you have a large audience who is waiting for you to complete your highly successful Underworld project. Why have you stopped writing that epic story which had just reached an incredible point, coming into its full maturity? Please go and finish the Underworld series. It is your finest work.

Silas is inducted into the System, becoming the last in a long line of Earth's "forerunners." The rewards are great, but the danger is greater. We are not alone in the universe. The fate of five worlds hangs on how their forerunners perform. Will Silas have what it takes to win Earth a place in the multiverse? Or will Earth become another mining world stripped of all resources and left a barren husk floating in the cosmos?

Yeah it’s good!
Revisado: 01-20-24
All the best elements of a solid “system” novel with an underdog MC who progresses, but without profanity or a woke political agenda. It’s well written and performed with excellence by Travis Baldree.

Yikes! - perverse
Revisado: 01-15-24
The authors are 2 grown men, writing about hypersexualized TEENAGERS who are involved in homosexual and bisexual activities. Trying to be funny and have the teenage characters discussing “man meat” in chapter 1. It’s perverse and inappropriate. Why are 2 grown men writing content like this? Yikes

It’s boring
Revisado: 12-31-23
Dreary, dark and slow. It feels like a never ending sci fi detective movie from the 80’s. The random entrance of an ancient Aztec “god” At the final moments leaves the reader in whiplash. It’s lame. It’s just bad.

Completed the first book
Revisado: 12-12-23
1. Why so short? This book should clearly be combined with book 1 as a single book.
2. The author seems to forget all the loot the MC puts into his bag of holding. Remember the unique sword and shield from the beginning of book 1? Forgotten. All the magic books and scrolls he gained from the wizard he saved and the successful revenge quest at the island castle? Never followed through.
3. After only a couple weeks together, Cleave makes the MC his heir and “son”? The MC instantly embraces this new relationship and starts calling a guy from a game “Dad?” Seems kinda off and feels very awkward to the reader/listener.
Other than that bit of critical feedback, really enjoying this series!

Enjoyed this one!
Revisado: 12-10-23
This has the light, funny and intelligent sarcasm of Dave Rubin. It’s good! The narrator even speaks in the same pacing and style of Dave Rubin.
Thoughtfully balanced character growth as he struggles to resolve his past and discovers his way in his new life. Plenty of mystery and adventure left to explore in this new world! Thoroughly enjoyable!

Historia
Contains books one and two of Condemning the Heavens... On the continent of Chang'an, humans had lived as livestock and slaves to the Primordial Beasts. These beasts were ferocious, bloodthirsty, and overwhelmingly powerful, but even so, the humans managed to prevail in the face of despair. As the human race grew stronger the Primordial Beasts fought back with relentless fierceness, rousing beast hordes to engage in frenzied battles over the land. Every single child on the continent was taught martial arts for the sake of fighting these Primordial Beasts.

Oh boy … not good.
Revisado: 12-04-23
This book was like a 1990’s episode of the Power Rangers where a group of shallow characters face cartoonish monsters and you are left feeling empty after the experience.
When the MC is weak at the beginning - everyone hates him. When the MC gets overpowered later in the story arc - everyone hates him. He is also a sociopath. Yikes. That's not healthy.
Please do not waste your time, credit or money on this poor book.

Respected and beloved by the Teshlor Knights, not even their legendary skills can protect her for what she finds is more dangerous than what she sought.

SLOW ... buy this if you like watching PAINT DRY
Revisado: 09-23-23
After the epic, nicely paced and tense journey of Nolyn, what a disappointment to see it all come to a screeching halt with this steaming pile of pointless meandering from the mind of a talented author who wasted this opportunity. Tim Gerald Reynolds has talent, but this lame story was sadly DOA.

Historia
The peaceful Eldarin were the last of three ancient races. The mystical Oltor, healers and poets, had fallen before the dread power of the cruel and sadistic Daroth. Yet in one awesome night, the invincible Daroth had vanished from the face of the earth. Gone were their cities, their armies, their terror. The Great Northern Desert was their only legacy. Not a trace remained for a thousand years....
