Historia
In the small coastal city of Oran, Algeria, rats begin rising up from the filth, only to die as bloody heaps in the streets. Shortly after, an outbreak of the bubonic plague erupts and envelops the human population. Albert Camus' The Plague is a brilliant and haunting rendering of human perseverance and futility in the face of a relentless terror born of nature.

Historia
Reward and recognition programs can be costly and inefficient, and they primarily reward employees who are already highly engaged and productive performers. Worse still, these programs actually decrease employee motivation because they can make individual recognition, rather than the overall success of the team, the goal. Yet many businesses turn to these measures first-unaware of a better alternative. So, when it comes to changing your organizational culture, carrots and sticks don't work!

Nice reminders for work and life
Revisado: 04-08-21
this book has a lot of good info but to be respectful of the theme I must say that the narrorator was not at his best when reading. it can be helpful to slow him down to 0.8 speed at times. I do not think that he meant to detract from the story but that maybe my expectations and what he was going for in his reading did not match well.

Historia
To err is human. Yet most of us go through life assuming (and sometimes insisting) that we are right about nearly everything, from the origins of the universe to how to load the dishwasher. If being wrong is so natural, why are we all so bad at imagining that our beliefs could be mistaken, and why do we react to our errors with surprise, denial, defensiveness, and shame?

Great buildup of a thesis

I didn't realize how important being wrong was. This book gave me a deeper appreciation of the human condition.
