Historia
When Andrew stumbles upon Jamie’s house, he’s injured, starved, and has nothing left to lose. A deadly pathogen has killed off most of the world’s population, including everyone both boys have ever loved. And if this new world has taught them anything, it’s to be scared of what other desperate people will do . . . so why does it seem so easy for them to trust each other? After danger breaches their shelter, they flee south in search of civilization. But something isn’t adding up about Andrew’s story, and it could cost them everything.

And so much better…
Revisado: 02-14-24
I really enjoyed this story. I frequently thought about how meaningful and moving. It was when the limited series, the last of us included in episode five a story about same gendered love. How refreshing to step again into a world filled with sadness that has made much lighter brighter, and in technicolor, by the love of two men for each other.

Historia
Ida Pederson was an executive at ‘Nyberg Shoreline’ when she was sent to the small Northern Irish village of Port Kriel to diffuse tensions between the company and the local community. When an unexploded bomb was identified on the seabed near Nyberg’s windfarm, Ida sent a local crew of eight men to investigate. That night, only two men returned home, barely alive and unable to speak of what had happened out at sea.

Historia
The first thing I noticed about C.J. Gorman was his plexiglass bra. So begins Destination Unknown—it's 1987 in New York City, and Micah is at a dance club, trying to pretend he's more out and outgoing than he really is. C.J. isn't just out—he’s complete out there, and Micah can't help but be both attracted to and afraid of someone who travels so loudly and proudly through the night. A connection occurs. Is it friendship? Romance? Is C.J. the one with all the answers... or does Micah bring more to the relationship that it first seems?

He spoke my truth!
Revisado: 09-17-22
I was 21y when I got my HTLV3 positive test. It was 1986. But I was alone, in a small Lutheran college outside of Chicago. I was propelled deeper into denial, loneliness and the closet.
Bill’s telling of the experiences of young gay teens resonated deeply with me. I longed to live those frightening years with more opportunities to be out and connected with others. His portrayal of hope & courage in the midst of fear is brilliant.

Historia
In Why Not Me?, Kaling shares insightful, deeply personal stories about falling in love at work, seeking new friendships in lonely places, attempting to be the first person in history to lose weight without any behavior modification whatsoever, and believing that you have a place in Hollywood when you’re constantly reminded that no one looks like you.

A great collection of stories that both entertain and encourage reflection and growth
Revisado: 10-15-18
Mindy has an incredible ability to turn a teaching moment into a great story and a funny story into a teaching moment. It is a pleasure to hear from voices that are not lovely seen in the media. OK, that are rarely seen in the media. And yet she doesn’t fall into didactic, pedantic, diatribes.
