Wishing for book 3

I’ve had this title in my library for quite some time. I was putting off listening hoping that book 3 would finally be released. Well everyone knows how that goes. Anyways, I truly enjoyed the book. It completed a story but leaves plenty of opening for the next title. Definitely a must read.

The narrator is totally incredible with his range of voices and passion in the role. The story line took a little to get used to but I enjoyed the book mainly due to Mikael Naramore. I will definitely search him out as a narrator.

Keeps getting better

Another homer run hit by the tag team of Reynolds and Robertson. This is one of those series that keeps getting better and better with each release. I would highly recommend this tag team!

Simply loved it

First of all I am a big fan of the narrator Tim Gerald Reynolds. He was my biggest draw to this series. I was pleasantly surprised how good a series this has become so hats off to Michael J Sullivan. I guess I am becoming one of his new fans. I recommend so far the first two books and could probably take a leap of faith and say the third book will also be a home run.

Where does Best Served Cold rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Definitely in my top 5.

What other book might you compare Best Served Cold to and why?

I don't really have a direct comparison, of course all the first law series, but this one was special. What a person will do for the ultimate payback.

What does Steven Pacey bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Mr. Pacey is a great narrator. Very articulate and well spoken. He brings enthusiasm and different tones to differentiate between characters.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I loved the whole book, but I particularly loved the master poisoner Morveer. His character definitely made the book for me.

Any additional comments?

This book has some ties to the first law series and world, but can be enjoyed on its own. It is a must listen that will entertain you for hours.

Started out bad but got better

I’m used to the more popular authors (Abercrombie and Sanderson) and incredible narrators like Tim Gerald Reynolds but I decided to take advantage of an audible 2 for 1 special that had many less known authors like jay kristoff but I decided to take the blunge thinking, “what do I have to lose?” I can’t tell you how close I came to turning the book back in. In the beginning I thought the narrator was horrible. Very short sentence structure and a monotone voice. I was several hours in and it’s like a different editor was hired with a different game plan. The book and the narrator got better and the story even a bunch better. This book is worth a listen if you can get past the first part. Who doesn’t like a school about trained assassins?

Winner, winner chicken dinner

I loved the book and will be listening to future books from the lineup. It was basically criminal minds but with more twist. So a 5 Star YUP! From me.

A must listen

I am pecking away at an iPhone so I will not write a detailed review. What a pleasant surprise this book was to listen to. I am a major fan of the narrator anyway, then you give him a good story and away you go. I was a little hesitant at first thinking the book may be set for a younger audience since a portion of the characters are young. But do not let that stop you. The book is truly entertaining
