Historia
Princess Aurora. The last heir to Briar’s throne. Kind. Gracious. The future queen her realm needs. One who isn’t bothered that I am Alyce, the Dark Grace, abhorred and feared for the mysterious dark magic that runs in my veins. Humiliated and shamed by the same nobles who pay me to bottle hexes and then brand me a monster. Aurora says I should be proud of my gifts. That she...cares for me. Even though a power like mine was responsible for her curse. But with less than a year until that curse will kill her, any future I might see with Aurora is swiftly disintegrating

Historia
When a down-on-his-luck engineer ends up coming into possession of a rundown suit of power-armor, he sees an opportunity to make some quick cash by selling it off to the nearest supervillain. Unfortunately for him, what should have been a quick and easy sale to pay off his debts quickly grows into an ongoing series of events that serve only to drag him deeper and deeper into the criminal underbelly of the city he calls home.

Historia
Angus Bjornson only ever wanted to do one thing: to continue crafting exquisite weapons and pieces of armor for his loyal customers. Unfortunately, after one accident too many that leaves the old blacksmith completely disabled, it would seem he has no other choice but to hang up his hammer. However, that would be underestimating the stubbornness of the self-made man.

Not explaining anything leads to problems
Revisado: 12-27-20
The MC is pretty much just a mary sue type character that only ever seems to have trouble or problems when people don't bother to explain basic game concepts to him. Everything he makes is automatically the best it can be of that material. Set backs never feel like a big deal at all and everyone else is either immediately his loyal follower or is obviously evil and hates his guts.

Not explaining anything leads to problems
Revisado: 12-10-20
I couldn't finish this one. By the time I got maybe a third of the way into it I was sick of all the we won't explain anything just try to follow along BS. Seems like most of the problems could have been avoided if someone would just explain to the supposedly important demon slayer what was going on. Instead, they just expect her to know what not to do and what do you know, she does something wrong.

Historia
Tall, meaty, muscle-bound, and hairier than most throw rugs, Dylan doesn't look like your average 15-year-old, so naturally, high school has not been kind to him. To make matters worse, on the day his school bans hats (his preferred camouflage), Dylan goes up on his roof only to fall and wake up in the hospital with a broken leg - and a mandate to attend group therapy for self-harmers. Dylan vows to say nothing and zones out at therapy - until he meets Jamie. She's funny, smart, and so stunning, even his womanizing best friend, JP, would be jealous.

Painful to listen to
Revisado: 11-18-20
It is incredibly difficult to just sit back and listen to how absolutely horrible Dylan acts toward everyone and J.P. is just as hard to stomach. Even the "supportive" mom was really hurtful to listen to. The only character that was actually a mostly good person was Jamie. Honestly, At the end I was practically begging her to move on and never associate with any of the other characters again. It felt like watching an abusive relationship where one person knows they should run but, keeps going back over and over again.

This book really needs a good editor.
Revisado: 05-07-20
This book feels like someone took the first third of a decent novel and stretched it out to fill a first book in a trilogy. The author spends the vast majority of the book rambling aimlessly and repeating information that has already been given multiple times. I understand repeating important information a couple times to make sure it gets across but, this book repeats almost everything. Some minor things where repeated eight or nine times. It got to the point where I was seriously wondering if I accidentally repeated chapters. It has potential but, feels like it's only the beginning of a story and not complete.

Historia
Sandra had been a merchant traveling through the human lands of Muriel, though that wouldn’t have been her chosen profession. What she would’ve loved to become was a crafter, producing wondrous creations with her own two hands. Unfortunately, Sandra was born with a deformity in her hands that made them appear frozen in a claw-like pose; as a result, she couldn’t grip anything with any sort of strength or dexterity, meaning that she wasn’t able craft anything but the most simple of things that required very little in the way of hand-based manipulation.

Feels Incomplete.
Revisado: 09-25-19
I wanted to like this book more. It starts out okay, but quickly becomes very slow and plodding. By the end I felt like I had only heard the first few chapters of a new series. I liked the world building but, so little happened that the plot felt almost non-existent. This really feels like a book that simply can not stand alone on it's own. Read for the world building if you wish but, don't expect anything to happen story wise.

Historia
Ed Helquist never asked for superhuman strength, or extraordinary speed, or the voice in his blood that tells him when and where trouble will occur; those things just arose in him one day, calling him into danger and forcing him to help people without knowing why. His simple life is becoming more and more complicated every minute, and a mysterious woman who keeps showing up to cause trouble may hold the answers to everything...if only she she’d stop trying to kill him long enough for him to ask.

A lot of Nothing Happening
Revisado: 09-10-19
I tried with this one but, It was just so dang boring. The entire book just seems to be the main character gaining more and more powers and the plot never seems to go anywhere. It felt more like the first few chapters of a book instead of the first book in a series. I can't recommend this book at all in it's current state. Potential may be there but too much is missing.

A lot of nothing happening.
Revisado: 07-19-19
I'm fine with and sometimes even prefer long book series. The problem with this one is that nothing actually happens in large chunks of the book and it really starts to feel like the author is just padding the book out to make it longer.
I've seen more story progression in well paced novels only a fourth as long. It gets really annoying when it's because the book wants to spend long drawn out scenes where women he barely knows keep awkwardly flirting with the main character, Who is married. Also the two main groups keep getting close to meeting and then poof, random event says nope. This keeps happening again and again in more and more absurd ways. This is one book where less would have very much been more.
Take out all the awkward flirting, the infuriating constant near misses, and the repetitive explaining of the same stuff over and over again and this book would be so much better.

Had Potential but don't bother.
Revisado: 06-27-19
I really like the idea of this plot and the writing style is not bad. However, not much of anything happens and the rest of the series is basically a wish fulfillment borderline harem story.
I really liked the setting and enjoyed a lot of the beginning and middle. I wanted to hear more about the world and the way things are done. I was actually looking forward to seeing the MC grow from a green kid into a professional space trader. I really thought that it would be interesting. Unfortunately most of the process of him learning about the ship and him qualifying to move up is just kind of hand waved due to how super, amazing, uber, . . ect . . ect. . .ect. . . brilliantly smart and amazing he is. Yet he still has the mind of a young boy going through puberty.
I can overlook the juvenile outlook that the MC has on life due to his age. What I can't forgive is that every single time a new female character is introduced the book proceeds to talk on and on about how sexy they look and almost never develops any of them past sex object. The book does make sure to describe them as strong independent women but has them all act like horny teenagers.
