Historia
After more than 700 years, he was expecting a peaceful and lonely end to his long life. That, however, was not meant to be. A single choice changed his fate, and his soul was forced to live again as a dungeon. Reborn but shackled to the heart of a mountain. This old soul has lost everything - and more. In a world of gods and demons, there is no room for a weak newborn dungeon. The path may be long and dangerous, but with a soul hardier than stone and a will stronger than iron, will he be able to forge his own destiny?

The world literally works like a video game.
Revisado: 04-01-22
It's literally written as if the characters had video game mechanics and abilities. They even open menus and pick new abilities when they level up. It's definitely a power fantasy for people who grew up playing video games. In this case it's based on dungeon builder style games with some thought put into how a world would work with self building dungeons in it.
It gets slightly awkward when the author describes some of the female characters but doesn't spend enough time on it to become painful. The prose in general is pretty clunky but the world is very mechanical like a video game so it works ok.
It's quite a bit of fun if you like the style but won't give you deep characters or a complicated story. It's all secondary to a fun concept and it does the fun well.

I couldn't stop reading.
Revisado: 07-14-19
The world, characters, writing, and especially the magic system in this book make it hard to put down but it's definitely not for younger readers. Those familiar with the authors YouTube channel should be warned that this book contains topics he rarely emphasizes on his channel including references to rape and prolonged sexual abuse of important characters. Few graphic details or descriptions but it's a major theme.
I found myself wanting to know more about the detailed magic system and the various religions that formed around it. Few fantasy stories have religions that feel like they fit with both the supernatural forces of the world and human tendency interpret religion as well as the world in this book. You're left feeling that as much as you know about the magic of the world, you've barely scratched the surface.
Most of the main characters are fascinating but you may find yourself feeling uncomfortably close to empathizing with a character who is genuinely evil, or at least used to be. The cognitive dissonance just makes the story more compelling though again this is a very R rated story and you might find yourself with a sick feeling about the main character at times. Forgiveness is an important theme but expect to be asked to forgive a lot.

The book is great but listen at .85 speed
Revisado: 04-05-18
It's definitely an exploration of both real science and stuff a little on the edge of reasonable, so it's best seen as a compilation of many interviews and opinions. It's better if you're curious and ready to look stuff up but Jeff Warren definitely looks into some of the more underappreciated and important parts of our everyday experience.

Historia
Said to be the world's longest poem, Mahabharata was originally composed in 100,000 Sanskrit verses by the ancient Indian sage Vyasa. Revered as a sacred text within Hinduism, it contains the great spiritual teaching Bhagavad-gita. Krishna Dharma has condensed the epic into a fast paced novel that fully retains the majestic mood of the original. A powerful and moving tale, it recounts the history of the five heroic Pandava brothers, sons of the Emperor Pandu.

Narrator's constant mispronunciations ruined it...
- De GrayDharma en 11-23-15
Really long but a pretty good story.
Revisado: 02-27-18
This feels a lot like Homer though the scenarios are definitely more over the top. lt definitely sheds some light on how Hindus think and though the culture may have some different values the characters are very relatable and it expresses the culture practically. Bhima is definitely the highlight. A genuinely fun character. It's really long but it's hard to stay too bored for long since the story is excellent.
There are some minor editing issues with the recording. Sounds of the narrator stopping to take a breath or turn a page are sometimes left in but it doesn't ruin anything. The narrator has a good voice which is important on a 45 hour audio book.

An extremely practical and useful introduction

Any additional comments?
I recently suggested this to a friend and hope he gets as much out of this as I did. There's a lot to learn beyond this course but it might be the best introduction I've ever seen. The fact that it's done as a college style course is surprisingly effective for the topic and I'll definitely be listening to more of Professor Muesse's courses.
