What made the experience of listening to The Vegetarian the most enjoyable?
Compelling, unexpected, and really well written. Fairly short (in terms of length)
Who was your favorite character and why?
I was really surprised by each character, as we heard from them. Shifting narrator was an interesting choice for the structure of the book.

Loved it! Feminist take on ancient Hindu epic

Loved this feminist retelling of Mahabharata, a epic Hindu text. Panchali is such a fascinating character in Hindu mythology, and this book really takes the reader through her experience..Beautifully written, engrossing... Couldn't put it down/stop listening.
The narrator did a wonderful job with often difficult to pronounce Sanskrit words and names.

Would you consider the audio edition of The City of Devi to be better than the print version?
Yes, Vikas Adam did a really good job of reading the book - capturing the voices and accents of different characters.. entertaining and captivating.
