Historia
Written only months before Austen's death in 1817, Sanditon tells the story of the joyously impulsive, spirited, and unconventional Charlotte Heywood and her spiky relationship with the humorous, charming (and slightly wild!) Sidney Parker. When a chance accident transports her from her rural hometown of Willingden to the would-be coastal resort of the eponymous title, it exposes Charlotte to the intrigues and dalliances of a seaside town on the make, and the characters whose fortunes depend on its commercial success.

I felt this was an affront to Austen
Revisado: 12-14-24
Horrid adaptation of a partially written piece by Austen. This Audiobook made me sad. For the new generation of people that think they like period drama, this might be a hit. For true Austen fans, it's awful.

Historia
Are you tired of feeling f*cked up? If you are, Gary John Bishop has the answer. In this straightforward handbook, he gives you the tools and advice you need to demolish the slag weighing you down and become the truly unf--ked version of yourself. "Wake up to the miracle you are," he directs. "Here's what you've forgotten: You're a f--king miracle of being." It isn't other people that are standing in your way; it isn't even your circumstances that are blocking your ability to thrive. It's yourself and the negative self-talk you keep telling yourself.

I loved it
Revisado: 10-09-19
This really did get me in the mindset that I needed to be in! It's only 3.5hrs and I'll probably revisit it if I get in a funk again. Only thing that drove me a little crazy was his slight speech impediment? L seems to be a letter he has trouble with if it's in the middle of a word it's usually pronounced as a w. So be prepared to hear "reawity" (reality) etc.

Desi Arnaz’s incredible life story - in his own words. Desi Arnaz’s memoir tells the story of how a kid from Cuba hit the big time in the United States. It’s all here - the good, the bad, the beautiful, the ugly, the lucky breaks, and the heartbreaking failures.

This book was sooo engrossing! So much I didn't know about Desi, as well as Lucy. The narrator did a great job too. He really brought Desi to life and did a great job.

Great book, not so great narrator
Revisado: 09-28-18
The book, for me, was 5 star. I love Dr James Dobson and listened to a few excerpts read by the man himself on his broadcast, which is what interested me in the book. There are some really heart wrenching bits in the book. I feel like this is one that Dr Dobson should have read himself. He's a great speaker and doesn't seek to hide emotion when it's warranted. However, the narrator of this book is what caused me to lose focus on the stories sometimes. Very dry reading and sort of monotone.
