Historia
Enrique Prado found himself in his first firefight at age seven. The son of a middle-class Cuban family caught in the midst of the Castro Revolution, his family fled their war-torn home for the hope of a better life in America. Fifty years later, the Cuban refugee retired from the Central Intelligence Agency as the CIA equivalent of a two-star general. Black Ops is the story of Ric’s legendary career that spanned two eras, the Cold War and the Age of Terrorism.

Thank you for writing this book
Revisado: 07-01-23
This is a story that needed to be told. Personally my view of the agency remains unchanged and probably just further reinforced, but this man is a true patriot and his honesty in writing this book is honorable and valuable. Thank you for your service. We are all blessed by the sacrifices others make.

Historia
Born in China’s northwestern province, Sayragul Sauytbay trained as a doctor before being appointed a senior civil servant. But her life was upended when the Chinese authorities incarcerated her. Her crime? Being Kazakh, one of China’s ethnic minorities. The northwestern province borders the largest number of foreign nations and is the point in China that is the closest to Europe. In recent years, it has become home to more than 1,200 penal camps - modern-day gulags that are estimated to house three million members of the Kazakh and Uyghur minorities.

Historia
Drawing on President Bush’s personal diaries, on the diaries of his wife, Barbara, and on extraordinary access to the 41st president and his family, Pulitzer Prize-winning author Jon Meacham paints an intimate and surprising portrait of an intensely private man who led the nation through tumultuous times.

Clearly this is not the whole story. There is almost no criticism or honest reflection in the biography. Disappointing as a real source.

Historia
The United States, the richest country on earth, has more poverty than any other advanced democracy. Why? Why does this land of plenty allow one in every eight of its children to go without basic necessities, permit scores of its citizens to live and die on the streets, and authorize its corporations to pay poverty wages?

Yea I had high hopes for this book reveling some real insight. Unfortunately this is just a collection of filtered statistics hand picked to support the authors opinion that white people suck. I work two full time jobs, I am college educated, and have both the experience of being self employed for a decade and at one point on welfare. And honestly this guy is just delusional. What’s most disappointing is how biased he is, never being honest about the other side of the story. Nothing of revelation here.
