Historia
Erin Coleridge's used bookstore in Kirkbymoorside, North Yorkshire, England, is a meeting place for the villagers and, in particular, for the local Jane Austen Society. At the Society's monthly meeting, matters come to a head between the old guard and its young turks. After the meeting breaks for tea, persuasion gives way to murder with extreme prejudice when president Sylvia Pemberthy falls dead to the floor. Poisoned? Presumably, but by whom? And was Sylvia the only target?

Disliked the main character. She was a know it all. Her ship in the front of her house in a residential neighborhood was odd as well. Too many Austin quotes.

Police Harassment Is OK?
Revisado: 06-17-23
Main character was annoying. Unreal that she would put up with police harassment and not contact a lawyer? After all is said and done it was still ok that the police had harassed her? I have a problem with this.

Your Disdain of Americans is Showing
Revisado: 08-08-22
Wow! I read a review that noted the anti American slant of this book and thought it was a hit of an exaggeration but soon into the book I could sense that the author had quite a disdainful attitude towards Americans so much so that she dedicates this particular story to it. Though I really have enjoyed this series this far, I am loathe to make this author any richer by using my hard earned US dollars. This author has issues. The performance was lovely.

Very Enjoyable
Revisado: 06-13-22
A well written story with suspense and humor interwoven throughout. I felt like I was in India. The author gave an unvarnished yet loving loving view of the country his character lives in. The narrator was excellent! He had me caught up on the excitement. I look forward to reading the next in the series.

A 27 Year Old Going on 16 Solves a Murder
Revisado: 09-01-21
The actual story of the murder and trying to figure out who the killer was kept me reading to the end but the character acted more like a petulant teenager than a full grown adult which I found annoying. There were the eye rolls, bickering with sister and mom, tiffs with the roommate ending in door slamming, all of which made it hard to root for this character in any way. The performance lacked range as well
