Straight from my childhood!

The cultural setting and dialog in this book in spot on! The could not be a better narrator for this style of writing. This took me back to a place where I could remember sitting on the front porch with my grandparents, aunts, uncles and the other "Old, wise ones" talking about town gossip and how things "ought to be".
Full of details from the mind of the madman next door, you probably won't be able to stop listening until the end. Thanks for the memories and sharing a story of tough survival that really tells it like it was.

This book had me loling while taking me on a great trip about life, love, revenge, subterfuge and redemption. The narrator was perfect in the role of a wisened gumshoe while moving through the story in a pace that has me hanging for the next well-written line. I'm definitely a fan!

Great story, but the audiobook left me unmoved.

This was a great suspenseful story however, I was unsatisfied with the audio edition. The narrator had a very pleasant speaking voice but the monotone delivery of tense, frightening and angry dialog made it difficult to finish. When the spirit of the story is left to my ears, please tell me in a way that makes me feel something!

I don't usually enjoy stories that have a lot of jumping back and forth in time. Put together a bit art a time is what creates the tension in this book. Great emotional audible performances!

This cast has true story-telling talent! Long love radio broadcasting and long live The Twilight Zone. I will listen to this again and again to enjoy all the creative nuances created with voice and sound. Best Audible purchase ever and destined to be a gem for generations of my family. This will be a great archive item to teach my "techie" grandchildren about the magic of focused listening and share the memories of the family gathered around the radio with my parents. Please offer more like this!
