I liked the story.. some of the text could have used more rigorous editing.
Narration was way too intense, in my opinion.. intense and breathless, and just too much.

I have always enjoyed Connelly's books, and this one is no exception. I just wish that the narrator sounded more engaged. It was a VERY blah performance..

I bought this book as an experiment - I wanted to see if I liked J. Patterson's writing. Turns out I'm not a huge fan, and the narration just spoiled whatever good stuff was left. Awful.. sorry... would NOT recommend. I suspect actually reading the book would be MUCH better.
Want a good narrator? try Dick Hill, or Steven Weber.

I admit, I am very picky about my narrators.. this is the first book narrated by Mr. Shea I've tried and I TOTALLY LOVED it! Story is well written, VERY enjoyable! looking forward to more of this.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
So... I thought I'd give this book a try... The story started in a predictable way, but then got so outrageously FICTICIOUS that I nearly gave up on it.. Yes, yes, I know this is supposed to be science-fiction, but SERIOUSLY? (spoiler here, so if you don't want to know don't read this) taking "deep tissue samples" for DNA testing? FROM A BUNCH OF DIFFERENT BODY PARTS?!? that's just stupid...And the narrator... sounded like a robot more often than not. Not to mention mispronounciation of some words (like "subtle"... he actually said "SUB-TLE")..I'm giving it a '1' on the narration, though it probably deserves a 1.5...

Where does The Drop rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Yet another great story by Connelly, unfortunately spoiled by poor, monotonous performance by Len Cariou. Nobody beats Dick Hill. Nobody.
