Historia
It’s a life too big and a story too extraordinary for just one book. Jimmy Barnes has lived many lives - from Glaswegian migrant kid to iconic front man, from solo superstar to proud father of his own musical clan. In this hugely anticipated sequel to his critically acclaimed best seller, Working Class Boy, Jimmy picks up the story of his life as he leaves Adelaide in the back of an old truck with a then unknown band called Cold Chisel. A spellbinding and searingly honest reflection on success, fame and addiction, this self-penned memoir reveals how Jimmy Barnes used the fuel of childhood trauma to ignite and propel Australia’s greatest rock ’n’ roll story.

bare bones, gritty and sometimes brutal account of a life lived by the lad of a poor immigrant family.
this could be the story of any one of the families living in an outer suburban area of Australia.
being read by the author gives it an authenticity that makes the recounting easy to listen to and which I found myself looking forward to picking up again . . .
regardless of your interest in Cold Chisel or Jimmy Barnes I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a good book to listen to.

Historia
Boldly go to times where no one has gone before. While transporting a contraband Russian time machine and developmental weaponry, Private Everett Dumphee finds himself cast into new settings when the device suddenly activates. What follows are fantastic high-tech experiences that might be called the ultimate off-road adventure. For the determined Dumphee - narrowly escaping with his life and three beautiful women - it is not necessarily a matter of will he make his destination, but when.

Light hearted look at the adventures of a mountain man who skips thru time.
Science fiction is just vehicle for the narrative. The story centers on Private Dumphey and the "wives" he collects early on in the adventure and how they overcome adversity in the times visited while coming to terms with military technology and concepts which you expect is beyond them.
Great performance.
