Historia
Jason Walker has often wished his life could be a bit less predictable--until a routine day at the zoo ends with Jason suddenly transporting from the hippo tank to a place unlike anything he's ever seen. In the past, the people of Lyrian welcomed visitors from the Beyond, but attitudes have changed since the wizard emperor Maldor rose to power. The brave resistors who opposed the emperor have been bought off or broken, leaving a realm where fear and suspicion prevail.

Absolutely marvelous! MUST read all 3 books!
Revisado: 06-18-19
I enjoyed the first book VERY much, but the 2nd is where I began to fully and totally be spellbound and mesmerized by Brandon Mull. I read Brandon Sanderson's novels as fast as he can churn them out, but I think that THIS Brandon (Brandon Mull) takes 1st place in my book (for fantasy writers) for young-adult fantasy. There are still some amazing battles, blood, and gore, for those "fearing" that the Beyonders series is too PG. Trust me, please, for your OWN benefit. This series is absolutely TOP TIER!

I had explosive goosebumps and my eyes teared and BEAMED with the most glorious, powerful feelings of satisfaction, excitement, reward, justice, and I could go on and on. This series is one that does take awhile to get to the full picture, but when/as it does...it is WONDERFUL! I can not possibly express how special this book is once I finished. Brandon Sanderson always let's everything build up, and up, and up and at the end I always realize just how important every little detail he wrote was in the end.

The conclusion of the Mistborn trilogy fulfills all the promise of the first two books. Revelations abound, connections rooted in early chapters of the series click into place, and surprises, as satisfying as they are stunning, blossom like fireworks to dazzle and delight. It all leads up to a finale unmatched for originality and audacity that will leave listeners shaking their heads in wonder, as if awaking from an amazing dream.

MIND=SHATTERED.
Revisado: 03-02-16
Looking for what to read after Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and all of Brandon Mull's books I found this series....and in doing so found what is at LEAST a tie for first place among the absolute best fantasy reads my mind could ever dream of having the pleasure of reading/listening!!! Each book gets amazingly better, and that's saying something since the first book is utterly FANTASTIC!

Historia
Even though thirteen-year-old Marcus Kanenas is confined to a wheelchair, he sees himself as a survivor and a dreamer. In fact, his favorite dream is of a world far away, a world where magic is as common as air, where animals tell jokes, and where trees beg people to pick their fruit. He even has a name for this place - Farworld. When Marcus magically travels to Farworld, he meets Kyja, a girl without magic in a world where spells, charms, and potions are everywhere.

I have been looking for a fix since Brandon Mull
Revisado: 12-16-15
I had a difficult time adjusting to the reader Mark Wright, but I liked the book a lot and am downloading the next book in the series right now. I love Brandon Mull and have been looking for a fix that comes close to his books or the Harry Potter series. This book is original enough that it doesn't feel like the author borrowed too much from anywhere and the story is enough to keep me excited to keep listening/reading. I recommend if you like other other similar magic/adventure type titles.
