Historia
Never had there been as close a bonding as the one that existed between the daring and adventurous young Lord Jaxom and his extraordinary white dragon, Ruth. Pure white and incredibly agile, Ruth was a dragon of many talents, though almost everyone on Pern thought he was a runt that would never amount to anything. But Jaxom knew better.

Historia
From the day that old Nana Reja found a baby abandoned under a bridge, the life of a small Mexican town forever changed. Disfigured and covered in a blanket of bees, little Simonopio is for some locals the stuff of superstition, a child kissed by the devil. But he is welcomed by landowners Francisco and Beatriz Morales, who adopt him and care for him. As he grows up, Simonopio becomes a cause for wonder to the Morales family, because when the uncannily gifted child closes his eyes, he can see what no one else can - visions of all that’s yet to come, both beautiful and dangerous.

classic story telling

really enjoyed this book for the similarity to current events, rich story telling of fantasy mixed with old fashioned regular boring life.

Samantha is a professional seductress and con artist with a heart of gold. If she talked about her work, she’d tell you she only pilfers organs for medical research and that she only takes one kidney, and she only steals those kidneys from dishonest people. It’s hell on her social life. Abe is the doctor and Sam's partner in crime. He isn’t much of a criminal. Except for the kidney stealing. But he’s using that money to fund his research that he anticipates will be able to cure diabetes. So, all for a good cause...? You decide. Of course, it's hell on his social life.

This book was slow to start and I often used it as my falling asleep to book but then it started to get to the point of drawing me in... kinda like a car crash you don't want to look but you can't look away. Definitely makes me kinda want to start prepping.

Nice addition
Revisado: 04-16-13
What did you love best about Iced?
New characters and a continuation of a story with a new plot
Which character – as performed by Phil Gigante and Natalie Ross – was your favorite?
Rhodan was great, I was not actually that thrilled with the performance of Dani.
Any additional comments?
Nice addition to Karen Moning's collection. I am not always a fan when authors switch main characters but keep the overall theme but she did this one well and I am looking forward to the next book.
