this book is one novel containing several stories within it. the author captures the emotions of characters with insight I don't often see. somehow these bruised and battered people learn to live, and even heal, within the confines of a small village full of friends and family. one lesson we are reminded of is thatvsometimes we just have to accept car mustaches and move forward. and moving forward is shown as a positive and good action.

Surprising ending

this book is well written much of the story revolves around the events that happening real life. perhaps that is why at times i felt a little anxious reading it. but either way, this book is worth reading.. it makes you think and relate to the story. The author doesn't fail his readers as the ending is surprisingly and totally unexpected. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND READ THIS STORY. IT MIGHT JUST CHANGE THE WAY U THINK ABOUT THINGS.

Sory, arration matched well

louis lAmour again entertains with a story line that keeps you reading. and the narration is perfectly done. sounds western and sped of narration perfect for western. together i would recommend this book to anyone who wants to read a god old fashioned western. and as we know, L'Amour is meticulous and correct when he used description of the west. his knowledge from his research shows in every book he writes

laurie Stevens is a wonderful aurtho, but i truly enjoyed this book more than any i have tead/heard in months, maybe more. this stiry is ful of intrigue, mtstery, and romance. Has a strong independent woman, a handsome Lord who needs rescuing, funny families, a traitor, eautiful horses, and ..well..the list goes on. what more can you want in a book? and avid readers who guess the plot or 'who done it?' ' before the story ends, THIS IS ONE BOOK YOU WON'T BE GUESSING THE END WHILE READING.: MAYBE NOT AT THE STORY'S END. Don't miss this one!!

Another Smash hit for McGregor

Amazing story line with lots of love, conflict, family and friends, and honor found after all the subdifuse in gaining revenge on a past friend and marrying his fiance. However, in my opinion, the narration of Rosalyn Landor made the story soar with characters clearly defined with their own individuality leaping out at me. I really dislike narration that is so similar to several or all characters. I did not have that problem here. Each character not only had their own recognizable voice but somehow Landor managed to portray the personality of each with her performance. A must read for fans of Regency Romance.

Laughter out loud at the tales the "OLD" "ODD, M iSFITS" at the lake tell. One man's death sets off a chain reaction that brings solitary individuals to come together to form first friends, then a family as they race to protect their homes and each other. Can ''First love" last a lifetime even if you never see that person again. can two people live separate lives with separate relationships love secretly in their hearts for years and years? READ THIS BOOK@!! YOU WILL BE SO GLAD U DID! AS AN AVID READER IT TAKES A LIT TO MOVE ME. BUT ALMOST NEVER DO I LAUGH OUT LOUD. NOT ONCE. NOT TWICE. BUT CONTINUALLY THRU THE BOOKS. CHARACTERS BECOME REAL And you feel like you know them. I could relate each character to someone I knew. can you? Art imitates life and this book is a work of art.

could not finish! Rape wand rape victim brushed aside as incoincidental as story line pushed on. I tried twice but could bot get thru half way without feeling soiled somehow by reading.

5 star story, 5 star narration, = Must read.

The narration of this story elevates the book to the top. voices. a cents all seem natural and fluid
no pauses, slowing voice for different characters. it as if you were hearing each character's voice also getting a perk of their character. a warm, inviting story weaving humor into a beautiful and funny love story. his it hot? Yes. Is it funny yes? fo you want to see a very highly bred 'lady's who thinks she is elevated above all common people learn to cook, sew, and live in a small rural cottage in Ireland. it's a long way from London's ballrooms and the town. a must read for everyone. I find myself smiling just remembering the humor in this book.
