Historia
In a decrepit and long-empty New York building, a man begins the demolition process by swinging a sledgehammer into a wall. When the dust clears, he finds two skeletons wrapped in plastic behind it. The man is Lieutenant Eve Dallas’s billionaire husband, Roarke, and he summons her immediately. His latest real estate project is going to be on hold for a while, because by the time Eve and her crew are finished searching the premises, there are 12 murders to be solved.

Susan Ericksen sounded as "BORED" as I was
Revisado: 02-23-14
Would you try another book from J. D. Robb and/or Susan Ericksen?
Of course I would J.D.Robb has an awesome track record.Only 2 duds out of 38
What was most disappointing about J. D. Robb’s story?
The repetition. The same basic storyline 12 times. Where were Feeny and McNab.Where was the steam.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
The read was so slow I check to see if my Ipod was on slow or normal.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
"DISAPPOINTMENT" Because the storyline held such potential.

Historia
For Lieutenant Eve Dallas of the NYPSD, the job is a useful reminder of what she has to be grateful for this season. Hosting Roarke's big Irish family for the holiday may be challenging, but it’s a joyful improvement on her own dark childhood. Other couples aren’t as lucky as Eve and Roarke. The Reinholds, for example, are lying on the floor of their Downing Street apartment, stabbed and bludgeoned almost beyond recognition. Those who knew them are stunned - and even more heartbroken by the overwhelming evidence that they were murdered by their own son.

gratuitous violence

What would have made Thankless in Death better?
The long woven thread of personal stories was all but missing in this book. I've always looked forward to the next episode among Eve and Roarke's circle of friends as I have in the mystery it's self. There was no mystery in this book and it seemed like the violence was meant to replace the lack of an interesting story line.
Has Thankless in Death turned you off from other books in this genre?
It hasn't turned me off but made me apprehensive as I have had the novella Taken in Death sitting on my Ipod unread for fear that it will be a disappointment also
What does Susan Ericksen bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Her characters voices are so immediately recognizable that I can pick them out even when I've lost track of where I am.
What character would you cut from Thankless in Death?
Can't think of who to cut or who to keep as the teacher was the only one with some brains

What would have made Fifty Shades of Grey better?
Nothing.Prognosis"Terminal"
What was most disappointing about E. L. James’s story?
The fact that there is almost no story.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
She did a pretty good job considering what she had to work with.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Fifty Shades of Grey?
Where to begin?
Any additional comments?
What a waste of a credit.I am now an avid review reader.I'm sorry I had to mark a whole star.If I hadn't marked one everyone might have thought it was an oversight on my part.

Historia
When innocent, wealthy Nora Marlowe came to visit the Wild West, she was as wide-open to adventure as the vast Texas horizon. Its rugged individualism - and dashing cowboys - suited her romantic spirit. That is, until the wrong cowboy decided to take the elegant heiress down a notch! Cal Barton didn’t like haughty Eastern misses. And he certainly didn’t appreciate one invading the ranch where he worked. But something about Nora was irresistible. The pull between them only grew stronger the longer she stayed - until a simple kiss became a full-fledged seduction....

Interesting story line but all they did was bicker back and forth .I only finished it because it was paid for but it was really boring.
