Historia
Mark, Todd, and Zola came to law school to change the world, to make it a better place. But now, as third-year students, these close friends realize they have been duped. They all borrowed heavily to attend a third-tier, for-profit law school so mediocre that its graduates rarely pass the bar exam, let alone get good jobs. And when they learn that their school is one of a chain owned by a shady New York hedge-fund operator who also happens to own a bank specializing in student loans, the three know they have been caught up in The Great Law School Scam.

I really enjoyed the windows into the lives of the three main characters and how the storyline include some of the major issues of today regarding student debt.

I loved this book. I have always been a HUGE Gabrielle fan--she is my celebrity choice to play my life story. Now that I know more, I appreciate her even more. I really felt like we were girlfriends chatting about life over wine.

I loved this book. It delivered as only Dan Brown can do. It included elements of history, mystery, suspense, and action. I totally forgot that I was listening and not watching a movie.

Historia
Being a black woman in America means contending with old prejudices and fresh absurdities every day. Comedian Phoebe Robinson has experienced her fair share over the years: She's been unceremoniously relegated to the role of "the black friend", as if she is somehow the authority on all things racial; she's been questioned about her love of U2 and Billy Joel ("isn't that...white people music?"); she's been called "uppity" for having an opinion in the workplace; and yes, people do ask her whether they can touch her hair all. The. Time.

It’s a story that begins with his mother throwing him from a moving van to save him from a potentially fatal dispute with gangsters, then follows the budding comedian’s path to self-discovery through episodes both poignant and comical.

Wonderfully written and told!
Revisado: 07-18-17
This story was wonderfully written. There were many opportunities to experience a myriad of emotions while Trevor shared portions of his life story, along with nuggets of wisdom and "ah ha" moments. I really enjoyed this book at every turn and did not want to put it down. One of the best parts were hearing him speak multiple languages and learning how that bridged his world with others.
