But the project is massively over budget and behind schedule. The CEO demands Bill must fix the mess in 90 days, or else Bill’s entire department will be outsourced. With the help of a prospective board member and his mysterious philosophy of the Three Ways, Bill starts to see that IT work has more in common with manufacturing plant work than he ever imagined.

"The Goal" of IT Operations
Revisado: 04-10-18
If you could sum up The Phoenix Project in three words, what would they be?
(Maybe Too) Openly inspired by Goldratt's best seller "The Goal", given its success, this pleasant and well structured novel makes me proud of having largely applied the Theory of Constraints to an IT project for my six-sigma black belt certification long ago.
The credits to David J. Anderson's work are maybe too understated.
However, good job
What did you like best about this story?
Promoting the adoption and adaptation of lean principles and methods to the IT sector while explaining their origins is certainly praiseworthy.
What does Chris Ruen bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Chris is a great narrator and did a terrific job here but I think that when there are many characters, especially male and female, the listener should better hear different voices.

Incredibly well structured insightful book
Revisado: 04-28-17
This book has a lot for managers and entrepreneurs.
Maybe a little prolix but very well structured and insightful.
Despite I read it on Kindle a couple of years ago I decided to take advantage of the author's narration.
Sincere compliments Eric

Built To Last, the defining management study of the 90s, showed how great companies triumph over time and how long-term sustained performance can be engineered into the DNA of an enterprise from the very beginning. But what about companies that are not born with great DNA? How can good companies, mediocre companies, even bad companies achieve enduring greatness?

A Masterpiece, a must read!
Revisado: 09-12-16
I should have read this book long before. In fact I realized that the most recent and notable bibliography concerning negotiations and emotional intelligence is based on the here expressed principles. Moreover, this is also a book about too often neglected values like politeness and fairness
