Ironic

It is interesting that throughout history, the most effective and well liked Kings and Queens have rarely had families that lived up to their caliber. HRH Elizabeth II's family has certainly been a disappointment. I do, however, rather admire Prince Harry for recognizing that, not only does he not have the temperament or personality to be a monarch, he also has no real chance of actually becoming one, and, with that established, he's had the good sense to take himself off and pursue a life that will suit him better. It also amuses me greatly that a man who tells us several times that he hasn't much real interest in books turns out to be a fantastic narrator. I think Harry might have an excellent future as an Audible Reader!

Good story. Well written, very nicely plotted. Good narration by Ms. Zeller. Nice cliffhanger at the end - setup for book 2. Recommended!

Awful

I’m guessing the author was not a fan of The Great Gatsby. In this re-imagining, Nick is an idiot, Gatsby and George are psychos, and Tom is just a compulsive philander. The women are not any better - Jordan is a stereotype golf obsessed lesbian, Daisy stereotypically marries Tom for the money when her father dies and his debts leave the family broke. Myrtle and Cath are the fools of the title. There is quite a bit of nervous vomiting. I have no idea why the detective was added to the story; he brought nothing to it. Altogether, this was a total waste of time.

Sad story

This is an interesting change of direction for Star Trek. The politics of the Federation come into play, and the terrible difficulty of attempting to help an old enemy whose culture is vastly different. I look forward to seeing how this story progresses in the upcoming volumes.

Beautifully crafted story in a fascinating world with characters I can’t wait to know better. Very much enjoyed listening to Luke Arnold tell his tale. I’ll be looking forward to the next installment of Fetch’s adventures and finding out more about Sunder City and it’s people.

Gunslinger Girl

Fun story! Plenty of twists and turns to keep it interesting. The narrator’s voice was a bit too “little girl” for me, and she placed her emphasis oddly in the sentences too often for my taste. Seems to be a good setup for a series, and I hope to hear more from Pity Jones and her friends.

Great fun! Well worked out magic system provides for some clever twists and turns to the story. Fully developed characters keep the reader immersed and rooting for the heroes. I really enjoyed this! I'll try Mr. Fuller's other stories soon.
