All My Knotted-Up Life is a beautifully crafted portrait of resilience and survival, a poignant reminder of God’s enduring faithfulness, and proof positive that if we ever truly took the time to hear people’s full stories . . . we’d all walk around slack-jawed.

Wow. What an array of emotions readying this book. Thank you.
Revisado: 03-12-23
Beth did a beautifully courageous job writing her memoir. Her vulnerability, honesty and care for others was evident. How she demonstrated faith and hope in such real difficulty and darkness. Beth never crashed giving God the glory. So much in her memoirs was relatable and encouraging. I am grateful for years of sitting under her incredible teaching, for her unwavering faith and willingness to stand with and for others in the face of criticism, judgement and hatred. Thank you for your example and sweet southern way. Enjoy life in the trees with your Jesus, your love and your pups! With deep love and respect. ❤️Lisa

Ever want a story not to end…
Does it?
So much rich relationship, faith, growth and learning. Not a time I did not listen or listen again that it did not speak to my spirit, my life.
Thanks you Sharon.

I did not expect this book being a fiction book to speak to me so deeply, to challenge me. I found parts of me in each character. It is well written and captivating. I will use the spiritual formation questions for my own spiritual journey and solitude.

This is my story. The story I needed to hear now before its too late. At times I had to hang in with the writing style and the poetry, not my cup of tea. But the subject and the honesty and vulnerability that hit home. I will read this again and again till I get it. Thank you Shauna!

I loved the story of the packhorse librarians and how Jojo inserted literary quotes throughout the chapters. What an amazing story with diverse, controversial and engaging characters wrestling with real issues. What a lovely, heartbreaking and courageous story. Well done. Could not put it down.

Loved this book and Susana’s boldness to disappoint and keep audience reading and wondering!
Revisado: 08-19-19
The book started a little slow however it picks up quickly. I love how Susana paid great detail to developing characters, painting historical and cultural backgrounds. I appreciated the twists and turns the story took as well as the willingness of the author to disappoint her audience.
I recommend this book for avid readers young or old. I recommend it for a long vacation read.
I gave it five stars for how well it was written and the skill and boldness of the author.
Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Based on seven years of ground-breaking research and hundreds of interviews, I Thought It Was Just Me shines a long-overdue light on an important truth: Our imperfections are what connect us to each other and to our humanity. Our vulnerabilities are not weaknesses; they are powerful reminders to keep our hearts and minds open to the reality that we're all in this together.
