Amazing
Revisado: 12-04-18
I have read all the Cross books in order and this is the best yet. The twists, turns, and surprise ending was wonderful. I can usually see the end but I didn't see this one.

Moves very slow. I did not like this one of his books. I found reader's voice irritating and hard to listen to.

Historia
First-year detective Kathleen Doyle is a plucky Irish redhead of humble origins and modest means. Chief Inspector Michael Acton is her antithesis: a British lord turned cop. He's tall, handsome, and enigmatic - to a fault. He also has a knack for solving London's most high-profile crimes. Acton selects Doyle out of the newbie squad to partner with him on a series of investigations because she always knows when someone is lying - a trait that comes in handy when interviewing suspects and witnesses.

What made the experience of listening to The Beloved Disciple the most enjoyable?
I have to say I found the reader of this book was boring. I did not enjoy listening due to that fact. I found myself losing interest and being distracted; not due to book content but due to the reader.

With them they carry what might be the museum’s most valuable and dangerous jewel.
