Historia
After sustaining injuries in Iraq, Chancellor Madaris was told he’d never walk again. Chance credits his great-grandmother Mama Laverne with giving him the will to heal and prove the doctors wrong. He has a healthy respect for her meddling ways and knows he’ll eventually end up next on her matchmaking list. When Zoey Pritchard was eight, she survived a car accident that took the lives of her mother and father, and was sent to live with her great-aunt who refused to speak about her parents. Zoey has no memory from before the crash, but she’s been having the same dream over and over…

I loved learning more about mama Laverne and witnessing Chance’s evolution. Very well written.

This is another Grant slam from Brenda Jackson! We still love the Maderas family and this book gives us more insight into our favorite character mama Laverne. I was hooked from page one and did not want to put this book down.

Historia
It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow—and horror. As Princess Diana was laid to rest, billions wondered what Prince William and Prince Harry must be thinking and feeling—and how their lives would play out from that point on.

Sad Story, but Interesting!
Revisado: 06-22-23
I enjoyed listening to this story as read by Prince Harry. I love Meagan and knew that there were some issues when she arrived on the scene. I am glad they shared this with us and began to break out of the gilded cage.

I loved it!
Revisado: 04-21-23
Anyone who has grown up in the church knows the drama and appreciates the authenticity of this story!!! There are some crazy chicks in the church all hoping and praying they will get the pastor, whether he’s married or not.

Historia
Tiffany can't avoid being funny: it's just who she is. But The Last Black Unicorn is so much more than a side-splittingly hilarious collection of essays - it's a memoir of the struggles of one woman who came from nothing and nowhere. A woman who was able to achieve her dreams by reveling in her pain and awkwardness, showing the world who she really is, and inspiring others through the power of laughter.

Interesting Story
Revisado: 01-01-18
I am joyed listening to Tiffany share her life story. Although very comical, it was difficult to believe at times. I enjoyed the book and would have finished it in one day had I not started New Years Eve!

Historia
Sixteen-year-old Starr Carter moves between two worlds: the poor neighborhood where she lives and the fancy suburban prep school she attends. The uneasy balance between these worlds is shattered when Starr witnesses the fatal shooting of her childhood best friend Khalil at the hands of a police officer. Khalil was unarmed. Soon afterward, his death is a national headline. Some are calling him a thug, maybe even a drug dealer and a gangbanger. Protesters are taking to the streets in Khalil’s name.

I LOVED this book!
Revisado: 12-18-17
This book was a realistic fictional story that was easy for me to continue to the end. I read it with my daughter and we compared our thoughts about each of the well-written characters. Loved it!
