Historia
Zachary Ezra Rawlins is a graduate student in Vermont when he discovers a mysterious book hidden in the stacks. As he turns the pages, entranced by tales of lovelorn prisoners, key collectors, and nameless acolytes, he reads something strange: a story from his own childhood. Bewildered by this inexplicable book and desperate to make sense of how his own life came to be recorded, Zachary uncovers a series of clues - a bee, a key, and a sword.

She did it again!
Revisado: 06-10-21
Erin Morgenstern has been my favorite author since I first read “The Night Circus”. I have read and listened to it somewhere over 30 times. Although I anticipated her next novel, I honestly didn’t think anything could possibly compare to her first...
In my opinion, I have found my new favorite book. It felt like it was written for me.
Her ability to delve into a fantastical world, yet describe it in such a way that you feel like you’ve always known it was there is nothing short of magical.
I can’t wait to revisit this story again and again.

Historia
Scarlett has never left the tiny island where she and her beloved sister, Tella, live with their powerful - and cruel - father. Now Scarlett's father has arranged a marriage for her, and Scarlett thinks her dreams of seeing Caraval, the faraway once-a-year performance where the audience participates in the show, are over. But this year Scarlett's long-dreamt-of invitation finally arrives. With the help of a mysterious sailor, Tella whisks Scarlett away to the show. Only as soon as they arrive, Tella is kidnapped by Caraval's mastermind organizer, Legend.

Delightful
Revisado: 04-01-17
I fell in love with this book for the authors ability to create a realistic magical realm. I found her world easy to follow without heavy descriptions, or unnecessary back stories... just enough of a balance between reality and fantasy.
Being a YA novel, it's not the most challenging plot or character development, but enjoyable like brain candy.
I'm looking forward to the second book!

Historia
Why we think it’s a great listen: Some books are meant to be read; others are meant to be heard – Water for Elephants falls into the second group, and is one of the best examples we have of how a powerful performance enhances a great story. Nonagenarian Jacob Jankowski reflects back on his wild and wondrous days with a circus. It's the Depression Era and Jacob, finding himself parentless and penniless, joins the Benzini Brothers Most Spectacular Show on Earth.

Loved every second
Revisado: 02-13-17
I've started this book (paper back) a few times and made it pretty far through years ago. Which made me hesitant to buy it on audible. I'm so happy I did.
It was wonderfully written and preformed.
I laughed. I bawled. I loved every second of this book.

Historia
Being immortal is not all it once was. Yes, the 12 Greek gods of Olympus are alive and well in the 21st century, but they are crammed together in a London town house: and are none too happy about it. Even more disturbing, their powers are waning.

Enjoyable!

Loved the concept, and execution of the story. Quirky and sweet, the main characters are a bit overstated, but in a comedic way. The narrator wasn't my favorite at first, but adds a goofy value when you get used to her.
I definitely recommend it!
