Would you listen to No Easy Day again? Why?
I had read a lot about this book in the news and had conflicting thoughts about reading it. Part of me felt that it wasn't approached properly in regards to getting clearance from the government. It also felt like it was too quick to market and that someone was just trying to make a buck.
Nonetheless, I used one of my credits and ended up thoroughly enjoying the book. It was well narrated and the story had the right combination of detail and story line to keep it moving. It reiterates a lot of the same SEAL training that I have read elsewhere but provides enough of a unique single person context to make it interesting. The portion in regards to the raid is a little difficult to follow but was exciting to listen to. Great narrative of what purportedly went on that night.
Overall well worth the 1 credit.

Engrossing story that really puts you in the time and place to understand what it felt like to be there.
Any additional comments?
Loved this book. I enjoyed it much more than the similar American Shooter. It really gave you a great look into what it's like to be a Marine Sniper in Iraq.

Very detailed review of the days surrounding the assassination attempt on Reagan. Very interesting to listen to from the insider POV. I wish they would have spent more time on the aftermath. It's covered in the Epilogue but it still leaves you wanting more.

I really enjoyed listening to this book. It's a great account of what the Seals go through for training as well as the Somalia ops that they participated in. Lone Survivor is a better account of the actual training though...

I can't even imagine going through what this soldier went through. One of the most amazing stories that I have read to date in WWII. Great narration as well. I loved this book.

Thought provoking account of Vietnam

I am an avid fan of WWII books so this book was a change for me. The mind of the soldier in Vietnam is so different. From being volunteers vs. career soldiers to the racial tensions this is a very though provoking book with insights to a was that I know very little about. You have to be able to handle profanity to listen to this book. It's rampant.
