Historia
Already cited on the floor of Congress and discussed in the corridors of the Pentagon as a book all Americans should read, One Second After is the story of a war scenario that could become all too terrifyingly real. Based upon a real weapon - the Electro Magnetic Pulse (EMP) - which may already be in the hands of our enemies, it is a truly realistic look at the awesome power of a weapon that can destroy the entire United States.

Too Preachy
Revisado: 07-20-12
What would have made One Second After better?
Need to remove the long diatribe dialog and incorporate the message into an active story.
What was most disappointing about William R. Forstchen’s story?
It started out well, building a family then he blew it by just having the main character go visit people so they can expound on the fate of civilization at nausea.
What aspect of Joe Barrett’s performance would you have changed?
The performance was fine, to bad he didn't have a decent book to read.
Any additional comments?
This is the first time I have written a comment about a book, and I have been a member of Audible for eleven years. I was hoping for a book like Alas, Babylon and am so disappointed.
